@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

How much would "free delivery for orders over R 1000" affect your decision to more purchases from Nexus Hub?

Another tip - not sure if its true as I have never been able to do it in the area that I live/work
If you go to 10 different pokestops within 30mins you get about 3 times the goods out of the 10th one.

The main new feature is you can get your Pokemon "appraised". Your team leader will tell you how good your Pokemon is (I think it's based on hidden values, like IVs), as well as comment on weight/size.

mmm Not sure how I feel about the appraised thing. Part of the fun with games like this is figuring out this stuff for ones self. Seems like this will just dumb the game down a bit...?

My Pokedex is now on 82 caught. How is everyone else's Pokedex going?

I am on 76 now

This is the easiest thing to do in Singapore and I don't see anyone here talking about it (nor has it happened to me) so I am going to assume this is a placebo effect.

My son and my dad went to the park close to their home yesterday afternoon, now the park got a small dam.

My son caught in about 20 minutes 4 MagiKraps…I think they the hardest Pokémon to evolve, however the reward if you do evolve one…..

When I was at Botanical Gardens, I did the route twice (when I got there and when I left). Both times, after a certain number of stops, I got ~6 items.

So it very well might just be coincidence, but it does definitely seem worth a try

The appraisal is very generic…If your Pokémon’s is at a high level you get and encouraging response and if on a low level you get a caution reply not to use them and rather let them level up a bit more

My wife and I still play constantly, but we've both been Pokemaniacs for years

At Rosebank Mall (where I am currently based) the two gyms change teams every hour or so, and there are always Lures by the food court. So there are definitely still plenty of people out there

Here at work...if I stand on a certain spot, I get 4 Pokestop's at one go.

There is always a lure on one of them

New possible updates -

Game code reveals potential new features

According to a Pokémon GO Reddit thread titled, “Some interesting things in the code I haven’t seen” the following features could be making their way to the game in the not too distant future:
•“Buddy” Pokémon – A Pokémon that you assign to walk next to you as you explore your augmented reality map (Similarly to how Pikachu followed you in Pokémon Yellow)
•Trading system – Phrases like “Trade_Search” and “Trade_offer” are noted in the code, which indicates that players may soon be able to swap Pokémon with other trainers
•VR – You may be able to play Pokémon GO in VR sooner than you may have thought, as a new folder titled “VR” includes references Google Cardboard.
•Legendary Pokémon – “Activity_catch_legend_Pokémon” is the code that everyone is getting excited about. Will the first Mew , Mewtwo or Legendary bird be released to the public soon?
•New Incense type – There are two different types of incense mentioned in the code; Item_incense_cool" and "Item_incense_floral" which may just attract water or grass type Pokémon to your location

Personally I just want better Gyms. Just went about 15 minutes of gym battling for a gym to be red 5 times in a row. That's ridiculous. If a gym falls it shouldn't be allowed to hit the same colour on the spot. at least not that often.
