Since he asked what level your chocobo is just before asking about the skill tree, since you can take your chocobo down a healer, attacker or defender skilltree.

I'm using my chocobo for travel. That's all. I'm in a really good free company. So there's always someone to help. Don't want my chocobo in the heart of battle. Don't know what id do if my precious Chocobo McNugget got hurt.

Plus all I need to activate on my dragoon is Blood For Blood and keeps my HP up all the time.

Don't want to pop your bubble, but Blood for Blood doesn't keep your HP up... in fact it makes you more Squishy but improves your Damage

Yup,he must have the skill name confused with something else.

Making fun of dragoons for being squishy is a tradition. Even Dragoons themselves makes jokes about how often they die. lol

Being a black mage I have no right to make fun of people for dying... we arn't that great at dodging XD lol.

Aaah leylines....I feels like you're always targeted as soon as you put them down. At least it doesn't dissapear when you move out of them anymore.

Thinking of getting a PGL to level 8 or 9 cant remember. But has 2nd and that will help a lot. Funny thing is. I have not died once. Regardless of having a good healer. My Dragoon gets the job done. Plus if you get your combos right. You can deal a lot of damage. I really like my Dragoon. Used to be a joke job. But buffed a lot. He will kick your ass(jump on it)

The Drg,marauder and plg is in the battle while the rest of you stand at a distance. So go ahead an make fun of the Dragoon. Great job to play. If you die as a Dragoon its because you suck. And the rest aren't doing what they are supposed to. Or you're just a dumb player running in and not letting the tank pull. That's why there are many dead Dragoon's.

Jeepers dude, calm down. You're taking this way to seriously.Everyone here is just having fun, joking around. It's just a game. All the classes has stuff they get made fun of. Black mages can't dodge, monks always run out of TP, Bards forget to use music a lot of the time, ect. Job stereotypes.

Ok first things first there is no skill called blood oath it is bloodbath

Secondly if you gonna level a pugilist level 12 is your best choice because after that the next cross-class skill is at an insanely high level and for a dps that skill would be pointless

Also what level is your marauder because I would suggest level 26 because then you get the skill mercy stroke which can help you alot

Finally the close combat jobs in ffxiv are
Dragoon - Dps
Warrior - Tank
Monk - Dps
Ninja - Dps
Paladin -Tank
Dark knight - Tank

All those people standing way back away from the mob/boss contain a being known as the healer he/she is very important towards your survival so don't attack those at the back just because people make fun of dragoons because they pretty much make fun of everyone regardless of whether you're the meat sack(tank)(love that nickname), dps or any other role

The whole if you die you suck at the job or role thing is utter rubbish it can also be that you lack experience the only reason I became a better tank was because of the advice of veteran players who helped me learn what skills to use and when to use them in dungeons especially some of the healers advice is great

I may be a noob to ffxiv but I have learnt alot thanks to other players I owe them each and every commendation I have received in ffxiv

My MRD is 15 now. Been using the skills that I can for now. But I want a Pugilist and get that to 30. But I can almost do the HW content. I so want to do the Dark Knight job. But I'm not the best tank. And there's nothing worse than a tank not doing it properly. So id rather not hold people back. Only took my MRD 15 for the cross for my Dragoon. Thanks for the advice though

I was going to build a BLM, till I got a taste of that sweet bow !love Everything changed, and when I heard that Bard is a support role too, it was a no brainer

@ phreak - I play Foe most of the time, the other night a BLM was running out of MP, so I played his lullaby for him, after the fight he traded 2000 gold to me for nothing. When I asked what its for, he said he gives it too any Bard that plays the right song without being asked to, I kinda felt good I must be honest...I dig my Bard though, just such a cool role
