I still can't get over what an amazing game Blood Of Dawnwalker was. I feel depressed now after finishing it. Everything is so well done in the game, side quest and all.

I haven't even touched Rebirth yet lol and I really enjoy the Remake stuff, even more so because it's a sequel to the original, but FF has gone downhill overall imo. Trails is my current favourite JRPG series, and it's really not even a close competition.

No one is stopping you from enjoying the FFVII Reamke games. But my point still stands, it's poorly written fanfiction. First time I played Final Fantasy VII was in 1999. Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 1(I still have both), were my first 2 PlayStation 1 games. So I've played Final Fantasy VII numerous times over the years. What what the Remake games are, are nothing more than imitators.

It's mass market slop at it's finest. Does it make it terrible games? Not at all, Remake Part 1 was fairly decent. But let's not pretend that any of the remake games are as good as the original. I hope Square Enix doesn't touch Final Fantasy VIII. Because they'll ruin that as well.

@phreak - Dont't get me wrong, many fans have valid criticism's with the game and I respect that. And It sucks when a game you're excited for doesn't hit the way you'd hope. I mean as fans we want to enjoy all entries in our favourite franchises.

I feel that as I'm getting older I rather just enjoy games for what they are.

One thing that I am not happy with is that FFVII Revelation will not be fully on disc, even though physical discs are included.

I'm a pretty hardcore FF fan but if you love the Remake series, as I do, you also kind of have to understand that a lot of contentious decisions were made in the story and it's just not gonna land with some people. I totally get why some folks don't like it or agree with the changes.

I do hope however that the announcement of FFXVII is close, feels like the FF fandom needs a new mainline title to reset after the Remake series lol

@phreak - that I understand. Rabid defenders are rarely better than those that hate on a game. If you like a game or series, it makes sense you want to discuss what it could have done better or where it might go in the future.

Think people have become to comfortable with giving simplistic aggressive responses, attaching a strong emotion to it as justification, then calling it a day.

Yes it does. Though having it placed in a stance will in some siituations be a better idea. Max out a skill tree first.

Naaah, I have lot's of jobs left to do. lol.

I have:
Lvl.60 Black mage
Lvl.60 Summoner
Lvl.60 Scholar
Lvl.50 Bard
Lvl.52 Botanist
lvl.22 Lancer
Lvl.15 Pugilist
Lvl.47 White mage
Lvl.32 Machinest

Still have to try: Fishing, mining, Dark knight, Astrologian, Dragoon, ninja, warrior, paladin, monk, cooking and all the crafing classes.

Mark enemies? I don't know how. XD I usually leave that to the tanks. lol.

Lol. Yeah my main class is a Tank and I want to continue the story now, it's gonna take too long for me to get my mage up to that level. For the life of me I can't remember how to do it.

What race did you choose?

What level is your chocobo?

What skill tree did you choose for him/her

*Nope not standard. Bought it with tomes.
*Race is an Au Ra
*My chocobo I use only for transport. So it's standard.
*Skill tree?(Have you played the game?) There is only one for the Dragoon. Except the healing ones I use from the marauder
