Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

I would get that collectors just for the Medallion.

I have collectors edition witcher 1 and two, a few of the physical games I've kept. Have an obsession with that Medallion lol, got it on t-shirt, poster, decals everywhere and I've been playing around with an idea of that as a tatoo =p

Another distraction to look at before The Witcher 3 comes out (The Witcher Adventure Game).

I'm going to pick it up on PS4 so cant access the current beta but it looks to be a well developed board game (it'll have a physical release as well), although the early preview is light on details with no video of the gameplay flow.

Game is looking good so far, just hoping it doesn't lose momentum at the end. Took me over 2 months to beat Witcher 2 cause it got so repetitive and boring towards the end.

That's my only concern with this title, other than that it is looking great.

Witcher 3 with Dragons Dogma combat would be gaming heaven.

I've found all the open-world titles I've played allow for the player to unwilling (or willingly) destroy the pacing. It'll be interesting to see how Cd Projekt manages to keep the story as focused int he new setting.

MILD SPOILERS BELOW...

I have to ask, which campaign path did you follow in The Witcher 2, Vernon or Iorveth?

I first played Vernon's path which involved plenty of politics, associating with questionable leaders and quests to please them and establish stability in the northern Kingdoms. On my 2nd playthrough, I followed Iorveth and ended up helping a rebellion, clearing monster-infested mines with rowdy dwarves, stealing dreams back from harpies, fighting in a ghost-war and sneaking into the last location in the game and taking my revenge on a certain foreign group.

They were two really different experiences and while Vernon's path was less fantastical, it feels more important when considering the state of the world in The Witcher 3.

35 minutes of Witcher 3 gameplay - Mild spoilers for some interesting encounters but, given the scope of the game they've promised, probably not much.

A question aimed at AWX - will you be stocking the companion book they're releasing to supplement the game and bring people up to speed on the full story (The World of the Witcher)?

I care naught for resolutions, frame rate is far more important but this is unlikely to run 1080P on either platform.

900p (or whatever they're aiming for) and a stable frame rate (preferably sans tearing) would for me be the better image. The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 still looks stunning but in intense scenes, you could get a lot of screen tear which really ruined the image.

I may be mistaken but after numerous comments about getting the Xbox One up to the level of the PS4, the only console gameplay I've seen seems to be running on the Xbox One?

Ignoring the weird dramatic scenes and music with the CDProkekt staff, this look incredible. It's the only game so far that'll get my gaming mates to finally give up on the Xbox 360 and pick up a PS4.

While I doubt the DLC will be particularly huge in scope and size, CDPR seems to love going against conventions and I'll always support them for it. At least it'll be likely to bring people back to the game later and encourage potential replays -

CD Projekt are seriously cool, loved their comment on retailer DLC ...

also loved the second post "How dare they give me free DLC" ... LOL that's why I prefer the British gaming sites over the US ones any day - whole different level of dry and wry humour ...
