Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Guys the collectors edition of the Witcher III guide might only arrive in July but has been re-offered by the international agent at a cheaper price due to the delay (R 395) for those of you that are keen to be notified when it arrives, send me a message or contact your nearest branch

OMG that price is tempting!!!

Actually enjoyed a quest for the first time last night, was a pretty decent length as well. Had to search for Ciri which ended up playing with her which was cool but too short, hopefully there is a more substantial quest later on where you play as her. Was nice how it branched out into different quests as well.

Finally also started to level up, now at level 7. RPG's are so much better when you actually start to progress your character and you aren't doing crappy quests all the time. Seems I opened up a couple good quests so going onto the Baron quest next.

Baron quest next.

^^Was my fav quest thus far...not happy how my decision made it turn out, was pretty sad...but hey, on my 1st play through I always go with my 1st choice, instead of trying to do what I assume the game wants me to do. How awesome is Ciri's dash? I also enjoy playing as Ciri

Same here. Didn't get the end of the quest I wanted either. But at least the children were saved .

Yup she is cool and quick which is what I enjoy over bulky Santa belly Geralt. Wish there was more combat options though, so far it's been pretty dull and I have yet to need to change strategy no matter the enemy type, fight wolves the same as golems or werewolves, it's rather annoying. Have yet to even need any potions or anything. Dodge is too good and Quen allows for you to just tank.

I found dodging doesn't help indoors and smaller spaces. Especially when ganged up on by like 4 or 5 enemies. I feel like my counter attack isn't working properly, or something is up with the timing, has anyone else had this?

I know there's an upgrade to reduce damage taken when triggering a dodge, even if you still get glanced by an enemy, so maybe it's just timing? So far I've found it quite consistent when it comes to weaving through a crowd avoiding blows.

What category of armour are you using? I stick to light normally so maybe change up your armour and see if it affects your dodge and counters.

No no, I mean counter attacking. Parrying? Different enemies seem to time their blows differently. My dodge is fine, it ain't dodge at all

I'll pretend I didn't read that last bit and move on...

Parry and counter-attacking is definitely hard as hell in this game compared the The Witcher 2. You can no longer parry from all directions and you're right, the timing varies a lot though I think it's the same for each weapon type (sword, axe, mace etc.).

I've tend not to use it unless I'm facing (or drawn away) a single enemy. Signs and bombs are best for crowd control in small areas, especially the Aard upgrade which creates a sphere-shaped shockwave pushing everyone back.

For those in Skellige and either at a high level or looking for a challenge, go to the Northern most Island "An Skellig" and do the quest "The Tower Outta Nowhere" quest.

It's basically a running gag with CDPR (and Gog by association) taking the piss out DRM (and their competition, publishers and 2nd hand sales).

@ Lurch - I agree, in the previous games I barely used Aard but in Witcher 3 its the difference between life and death in close quarters encounters with multiple enemies

I use Igni, Aard and Axi most of the time. Thus far I only used Quen to take down a Lvl 21 (I'm lvl 14) Ghoul I accidently ran into, I was so lucky his mates did not come and join the fight, I managed to lure him away and beat him on his own. After that I ran for the hills lol!

Anyone pick up (can't remember its name now) the sword that Freezes enemies, god damn that thing is awesome, little overpowered imo, but so damn cool

I only use parry in the Fist Fight quests, other than that, it's not needed, the dodge/roll is all you need as it works perfectly

Finished the Baron quest, was quite a long quest, took like 2 hours or something. It was decent but there was a lot of crap in between that really detracted from the overall experience to the point of me not caring anymore and just wanting the mission to end. Too much running back and fourth and the part where you have to find a dumb goat and then bring it back just wasn't needed. Pretty happy how it turned out all things considered though, onto the next one now.

Enjoying it enough to continue playing it. The game has a ton of issue which people seem to be overlooking, not sure why, but it does pick up once you get past the awful starting area.

Will I do everything in the game? No
Will I replay the game? Definitely not.

It's a single play through only for me because so far I don't care about any of the characters or how anything will progress and I think that is mainly due to the games awful pacing and tacked on exploration. Combat is also really shallow and it's pretty much the same thing every encounter, weapons don't change your movesets or anything. Slash, slash, cast sign, dodge rinse repeat.
