Yeah saw that. The tweets are pretty vile and disgusting. Based on those tweets, which according to everyone Disney and most industry people knew about for years, he should never have been hired.
Once hired though Disney could've batted off the criticism based on their age, them knowing about it and explaining why they decided to hire him anyway and his apologies for them a few years back. Also, and this is the kicker, the guy that led the charge against Gunn has a history of even worse statements, most notoriously claiming that Hillary Clinton led a pedo ring that was housed in a Washington pizzeria. This conspiracy theory actually still persists and one of the guy's followers actually pitched up there a couple of years back with an AR-15 determined to "free and protect the children". Luckily noone was hurt. That guys still has a platform to spew this vile crap and Gunn is now unemployed and probably unemployable for the near future.
