@Catha - I get you - I still waited on the physical for Alan Wake 2. Was also improved by then with updates

Luckily we arent starved for games at the moment - too many releases

This all is starting to seem rather deliberate from publishers. Absolute scum

@Tea - it's pretty sad. Like Physical needs any more blows

Going to suck, navigating the minefield of spoilers. Already a 2 day early access perk for deluxe digital. Now a further 3 weeks.

I suppose it's better than the year that AW2 had to wait.

SA ETA is the 19th October

John Wick 3 - Holy s***! The action sequences are unbef***inglievable!
The Inventor: Out for Blood - The story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos and boy does she come across as a bit of a sociopath and definitely a narcissist. Amazing that she was able to fool so many people for so long, including her staff that worked on the Edison and knew that it didn't work. The fact that it took almost ten years for staff to finally say enough and whistle-blow is testament to that "Silicon Valley" optimism that you are part of something special and that it will all work out. One guy even said that what they were attempting violated the laws of physics and thermodynamics, but he soldiered on!

Overlord
Closest thing you will get to a COD Zombies movie.
Good, but if it was a straight war movie, with no "zombies" it would have been even better.

Jeepers Creepers 3
Takes place between 1 & 2. Totally unnecessary.

Hard Boiled
Damn, that body count though!!!!!!
Time to play Stranglehold again, after I buy it again

I'm always on a schlock horror marathon

Pet Semetary (2019) - So. . . meh. Also Stephen King approving movies of his books and changes made to them should always be taken as a bad sign.

Detective Chinatown - a funny buddy style comedy set in Bangkok with some very minor HK action. Somewhat jarring hearing a mix of Thai and Mandarin, but a fun film with some really interesting stylistic choices. The two that stand out are the hospital corridor shootout in the third act and the crime scene recreation setup like a play.

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu

Pretty good, and full of awesome little nods to the fan-base. A few moments fell short and raised a few questions, but it was a fun Pokemon movie. I have been waiting for a live action Pokemon movie since I was a kid, so I am very happy with how this one turned out.

I started watching SG1 again this weekend. Two thing came to mind immediately:
1) The show is still damn good even though the effects haven't aged well and the budget wasn't quite there in terms of allowing then to travel to different locations etc.
2) I am bloody old as I watched this when it first aired on SABC 2 or 3 and that was 22 years ago

I was actually thinking to start rewatching the Stargate series again…Still wish they made the third season of Stargate Universe, was the best Stargate series for me.

And to think Aquaman’s first major role was in Stargate Atlantis…a bit ironic.

I like the original film but TBH the TV series was only watchable for me. This Origins though is like a parody. I can imagine a Stargate fan being deeply offended by it's existence.

I watched some of Origins, it was... ok as filler. SG1, Atlantis and Universe were all favorites of mine despite the obvious low budgets. They really took the film's sparse mythology into some interesting directions. And besides that who doesn't love Macgyver?!

It was ok, I guess. It passed the time. Didn;t hate it, didn't love it. Though I do wish that they would stop trying to recreate that loving 80's adventure magic that The Goonies, etc. gave us when they clearly don't understand what made those movies so great to begin with. And forced romance between 13 year olds, yeah no thanks.

There were, in comparison, a couple of gory kills, so I'm not sure who this was aimed at either.

Captain Marvel – One really misses a lot when watching movies in 3D…awesome movie second time around in UHD format. After watching Endgame and rewatching Captain Marvel, the Captain Marvel end credit scene makes more sense and why it is so relevant to th Stark rescue scene.

I also notice the Captain Marvel suit in Endgame looks different to the suit in her own movie. The Endgame suit is a darker blue, less red and a bit more gold trim.

And what happended to Goose after the Captain Marvel movie? Will Goose make an appearance again?

Also did Yon-Rogg had Quantam bands? If yes, did that not make he Questar?

@Bob!

Finally someone who asks the big questions... Where is Goose? or is he at Furies home(a mystical place between time and space)...

They said something about the recording of the Captain Marvel post Cred scene about her asking about where Fury is, was shot 1st and then her movie was made...

Goose…or Chewy as per the comic books, teamed up with Rocket and Groot in the duo’s own series.

Even if the Avengers / Marvel end scene was a one shot, the rescue of Stark made more sense now. I was wondering how she found Stark in the massive galaxy.

And how was the Falcon Easter egg? After the crash, Carol tells Yon-Rogg that Para-Rescue will have then surrounded. If you recall in Captain American Civil War Sam tells Steve that he was in Para-rescue…

Godzilla (1954)
Wow! This film still is amazing all these years later.

Blade Runner: 2049
Finally got around to watching this movie and gotta say, I enjoyed it alot. It definitely does not deserve all the hate that it had when it initially released in my opinion.

Agree on both points. The length was definitely an issue, bit didn't really see to many scenes that could be cut to be honest. And Joi! Oh my cake! She was too darn adorable.
