^^^ Apparently the new movie is set 25 to 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Now the “fashion” style of the Return of the Jedi movie van 80s…Now the new movie will have a 2000 – 2010 style…so you may be correct – the “i-Helmet”, “i-Blaster” and the “i-Sabre”….

And it looks like we will be seeing the twins...

We all do. Lucas' limited involvement gives me hope, but that is immediately offset by JJ Abrams being involved so heavily in this one. I know he is not directing the next two, but I assume that he is involved as a producer and from the script and story development POV. Abrams is all style over substance (Sci-Fi's Michael Bay but with lens flares instead of 'splosions) and the last Star Trek was just so[censored]. The first was promising, but the second...

Average is generous. The only thing that saved that film was the fact that they had Simon Pegg and benedict Cumberbatch give great performances. The story made little sense, execution not idea, the idea was great, and the fact that the villain was Khan after all the effing denials was just stupid. And don't get me started on teh race bending ....

WTF is with the lightsabre design?! That makes sense with real swords to protect against blades sliding down each other, but with the likelihood of a person using it hitting their wrist
/forearm with a mini blade that just seems dumb. Only got excited when I saw the Falcon and heard the theme. Rest gave zero info and looked too generic

that lightsaber sucks... not because of how unpractical it is (maybe), but because it looks stupid

I am seriously hoping that the trailers will be underwhelming and that the films themselves will blow me away. Exactly the opposite of what happened with Phantom Menace
