Last year, Nexus played host to the first annual Creator's Ball (October 27-28) in order to raise funds for Animal Allies, a non-profit charity that assists and helps care for animals in informal settlements and strays found elsewhere. The Creator's Ball, founded by Walker-jay Roussow (ShushieBushie), The SA Geeks' Kerryn and Ross, and Jack Donde (Eternal Frost), aimed to raise a total of R10 000 for Animal Allies by hosting a 24-hour livestream, bringing together 26 of South Africa's talented content creators for a weekend of non-stop gaming, festivities, and doing it for a good cause.
