Shao Kahn Will Be in Next Week's Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Kast
In an unforeseen turn of events, Mortal Kombat 11's street date was broken rather early. However, the developers over at NetherRealm Studios are still sticking to their guns and promised that we were in for a special Kombat Kast the day before Mortal Kombat 11 comes out. According to a Tweet, that includes Shao Kahn.
Shoa Kahn has been teased since the very reveal of Mortal Kombat 11 as a pre-order incentive. Much like Goro in Mortal Kombat X, players will get access to Shao Kahn if they buy the game before it comes out. Hence, we will see NetherRealm showcasing him on Monday, in order to persuade those who have yet to buy the game.
The confirmation came from NetherRealm's community director, Tyler Lansdown, in a response to a Tweet. A user known as Brand Fleming asked Tyler about the Shao Kahn breakdown, to which Tyler responded "April 22nd. Sounds good."
Considering that it's a special Kombat Kast, we may also see the previously leaked Frost being showcased too. We will have till the 22nd of April, 2019, to find out.
Mortal Kombat 11’s cast, so far, includes the following fighters: Baraka, Cassie Cage, Cetrion (newcomer), D’Vorah, Erron Black, Geras (newcomer), Jacqui Briggs, Jade, Jax Briggs, Johnny Cage, Kabal, Kano, Kitana, The Kollector (newcomer), Kotal Kahn, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Noob Saibot, Raiden, Scorpion, Shang Tsung (DLC), Shao Kahn (pre-order bonus), Skarlet, Sonya Blade, Frost (unlockable character), and Sub-Zero.
Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
