DOOM 64 Could Be Coming To PC And PS4
Following the re-release of the original DOOM trilogy for modern consoles, a leak on the PEGI site spotted by Gematsu hinted that DOOM 64 would be releasing on PC and PS4 with a 16 age rating.

The listing has since been removed, most likely because there is no official announcement from Bethesda. It would make sense for this wayward son of DOOM to join its brethren on modern consoles and bring a complete DOOM collection to gamers, especially since many will have, most likely, have missed out on this amazing gem.
DOOM 64 released on the N64 back in 1997. The game, like Quake II N64, wasn't a port but rather an entirely new experience built from the ground up. Developed by Midway Games (Mortal Kombat), the game featured new levels, new sprite versions of classic enemies and weapons, new sound effects, and some seriously hardcore running-and-gunning, as well as puzzle-solving. For me, it still stands the test of time as the best version of DOOM ever made (and yes, that takes the recent reboot into account).
Until now, if you aren't fortunate enough to own an N64 and the game, DOOM 64 can only be played through an in-development fan remake. So here's holding thumbs that this is official and soon gamers can get a taste of the brilliance that is Midway's take on the phenomenal shooter.
