Assassin's Creed Valhalla 30 Minute Gameplay Leaked, Features Female Eivor
Assassin's Creed Valhalla previously had a "gameplay" demonstration at the Inside Xbox event - where it was clear that nobody really understood what gameplay was. The short teaser was met with plenty of backlash from fans, and since then, we've been waiting for actual gameplay of Ubisoft's anticipated upcoming RPG. It seems like someone answered our prayers ahead of the Ubisoft Forward event this Sunday, as some Valhalla gameplay has found its way online. We fully expect it to be taken down soon, so grab it while it's hot.

SP1st has managed to capture three 10 minute long gameplay showcases, and it's immediately noticeable where its influences come from. The style of the world is highly reminiscent of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, even down to some of the colour palette and assets. For the most part, though, you'll definitely find traces of both Origins and Odyssey here too, which seems like the direction Ubisoft have been shifting the series towards since 2016. In the leaked gameplay, female Eivor takes the spotlight, showing our first look at the character in-game as previous promotional material only ever featured male Eivor.

Clicking on the link in the tweet above will only reveal that the video was taken down on YouTube, so use SP1st's embedded videos if you'd like to see the 30 minutes (broken up into three ten-minute segments). The first ten minutes highlights some exploration, dialogue choices and interactions, and ship warfare, while the next 20 minutes are heavily focused on combat, customization, gear, and more. There's a lot to digest here, but it still oddly feels like an Assassin's Creed game in some ways. We assume this lengthy gameplay demonstration would've only released shortly after the Ubisoft Forward digital event, which will take place this Sunday.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla releases in late 2020 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
