Hi

Are there any further updates on the Control Resonant steelbooks?

Also, I've added some comments onto 2 of my open orders. Can someone please assist with those enquiries.

Thank you

Also +1 for extremely hype for Resonance. Almost almost done with Silver Pines which has easily become one of my top 3 games this year. Just debating if I should play Phantom Blade or Resonance. Good problems to have

@Surreal people just need to b*tch and moan, they don't actually need a GOOD reason. I find that when it comes to adaptations of one sort of thing to another, people cannot let go and see that different mediums have different constraints, so always end up comparing the two and being somewhat dissatisfied. Before comic book films, it was literary (as in novel) adaptations. I remember the hue and cry when Jurassic Park was adapted. People like to complain.

Supernatural S06E16 - While it advanced the whole Monster plot forward the way they dealt with various characters i.e. resolved their story arcs i.e. knocked 'em off was too rushed. Someone who could've been a great metaphor for the monster within all people was just killed off. He could've been a GREAT villain. Also the way they expanded upon another characters relationship with the boys and their supporting cast and then just killed him off was just... wrong. Again they could've used him to expand the cast and the story and his eventual death later on would've had much more impact just like previous recurring cast deaths. Right now you are sad to see him go, but don't really care. It just seems to me that the season is being rushed to end off this story in the remaining 6 episodes instead of playing the long game and properly building it up over the full 22.

@Magius: Yup, pretty much how I feel as well.
End of the day you just have to be able to separate the two mediums. Having them complement each other is a bonus, not a necessity. Gotta be objective and look at it through a different point of view.

@Magius
S6 of Supernatural has that : "We don't really now what to do but we've got to do something" vibe to it. The entire season has been inconsistent and not one episode feels like theres been any real danger in it. I think they killed of a certain character simply because they didnt know what else to do with him anymore. May have seemed like a god idea in teh beginning to have him, but since then he's been a wasted attempt. Kudos though for having 2 X-Files vets in the same episode.

Even their humoourous episodes, like last weeks one, have lost their bite and feel wasted.

@DG precisely. The new showrunner had all these ideas, but seemed to believe that S6 would be the last season so they tried to cram EVERYTHING into this season. They really should have ended the show with S5 as Kripke had intended.

2 X-Files vets? Had the other character killed off also been in the X-Files? TBH I gave up on that show around about the time of the first film so may have missed him.

Rufus was in X-files. He was Deep Throat's successor .

And Grandpa Winchester was Assistant Director Skinner on X-Files.

That 70s Show. Just started season 2.
That magic show where they reveal the secrets of how its done. Theres a new magician now & his tricks are a lot better. How do you make a huge dump truck disappear before your eyes? Well you know those ppl who act all surprised when they lift the curtain & the truck is gone? They are all on the pay roll

Star Trek DS9 a S01 to S5e16. Of course not all in one night but over the past three or so weeks. Like all Trek shows of the 90's the first season was weak, but it got much better. The show has aged much better than TNG, even though there are some weak episodes and naive ideas. I think that the attempt to give this show a bit more of an edge, by presenting a frontier town and trying to round the characters a bit more with slightly darker pasts and personalities helped it age as opposed to TNG's constantly optimistic view of the future. Really enjoying it and will definitely look to pick up the Blu-Rays if they are ever released.

@ Knightfall In terms of scope and ambition I agree. But in terms of better characterization and ageing, DS9 is much better. Voyager is basically TNG and Lost in Space mashed up. ENterprise was going pretty well, unfortunately they never had the ratings to complete the show.

Odds and ends, but notably latest House S7. Wow, a bit bummed with how the story has gone, very unfair for the guy. Don't get me wrong though, when I say bummed it's not because the story is crap, it's just sad that it's gone the way it has. Hoping something happens as we head towards the season end.
Have enjoyed the season so far.

Mentalist S3, I honestly can't remember much, this season has been quite forgettable for me, which is a pity.

Dr. Who S1 (2005 "reboot"). First few eps, enjoyed it, very cheesy but in an 80s sci-fi sort of way. Don't think it's something I'll watch back to back non-stop, but it's good fun for a few hours.

The wife is going to be destroying tv while on maternity leave. Pity she doesn't post, have gotten a bunch of shows just for her
Latest has been Leverage, which she decimated in a few days, and has implored me to get more. Something about a dude who got screwed by his company so now he and his mates steal and con other cons out of their bucks. Like a modern Robin Hood apparently.

@Surreal House had to do that, because him been a miserable c*** is what the show is all about. A Happy House does not make for an Entertaining House.

Psych is so much better than The Mentalist, because it doesn't take itself seriously. The beginning of the last season even had a bit of a dig at the Mentalist where the two main characters riffed off the similarity between the shows. Also the constant 80's references are fun to watch for.

Leverage is very good, quite a fun show to watch and try and figure out how they are going to pull off their latest sting. If your wife liked that get White Collar, a con man is caught and part of his deal is to work with the FBI to catch criminals. She may also like another USA Network show called In Plain Sight about the US Witness Protection Program.

@Magius: I know but he's also a person like everyone, and I just felt like after all the BS he's had to deal with, and especially after admitting that he'd rather do a) then b) (avoiding spoilers ), that it's unfair for it to happen to him. He's come pretty far so I thought he deserved a bit of happiness.
Still though, curious to see where they'll take it from here.

And yeah she actually already watches White Collar, but I'll check out Psych and In Plain Sight when I can.

A few others that I got just for her, Nurse Jackie, The Big C, The Good Wife and Damages. Whether they are any good remains to be seen.
Wish I could eat through TV like she does lol

@ Surreal From what I can tell only The Good Wife and Damages are worth it. I enjoyed Damages, a very good legal drama, but with everything else I watch it kinda fell into the backlog and hasn't been picked up since the end of S1. Critics love the Good Wife, but I never liked the main actress. The other two seemed very much aimed at the ladies so never really bothered
