In Carnage USA, Carnage takes over a small mid-west american town and turns everyone into symbiotes that he can control. The Avengers, including Spidey, are sent in to clean up the mess.

Read Superman: Red Son last night.

Quite enjoyed it. For anyone looking for balls to the wall action scenes you won't really find that here. I think you could call it more of an experimental tale, as Mark Millar takes the Superman mythos and turns it upside down, with well known characters being presented in a completely new way.
Though there are still some underlying themes that will always remain an integral part of any Superman story, and they are swiftly ingrained in the story, albeit in a very unique and original way.
Quick summary, basically Superman lands in the Ukraine as opposed to Kansas. He's brought up in Communist USSR, raised as a protege to Josef Stalin, and presented to the world as the new Russian super-weapon.
However, he's still Superman, and ultimately still holds humanity as his responsibility to protect, political affiliations aside.
Lex Luthor is there, but is married to Louis Lane. He remains as Superman's main opponent but not how you would expect.
Other characters such as Batman, Wonder Woman and Braniac also make an appearance.

Long story short, great story. You'll never see the ending coming.

Amazing read that was, and yes, the ending was so awesome! Also I liked Batmans potrayal.

Been reading ( again) Army of Two TPB.
I personally really enjoyed the games. And the graphic novel is just as awesome.

Up to issue 50 now. Slowly but surly catching up!

A pretty good read for some of the last Batman comics before the DC relaunch. Some great artwork, and a nice comeback for Ra. The story asks some big questions of some of the characters, Nightwing, Tim Drake.

The noves only flaw is that its centred around Batman's son, and the new Robin, Damian Wayne, easily one of the least likeable characters to wear the Robin mantle. Other than that, a nice insight into what makes both Ra's and Batman tick, and the lengths each will go to, to achieve their missions, showing how much more alike they are in their obsessions than they realise.

Will start weighing in on the New 52 stuff from tomorrow on. First up, Action Comics!!! !bm

An Elseworlds Superman story that asks the question of what would Superman be like if he had grown up in the real world. I know this has been done before, but it hasn't been done like this, that's for certain. First he isn't an alien, just a boy who develops powers through an event that's not entirely explained and how he decides to use his powers to help people, while running from the government and trying to build a normal life for himself.

There are no supervillains, no world ending crises's, no boyscout, just the story of a man coming to terms with who he is and how to live his life.

A beautiful read. Certainly one of the best Superman story's I have ever read.

For everyone whose complained that there are no good Superman story's, that theres been nothing different or interesting done for the character, to the character, you owe it to yourself to read this, to read a new take on the mythos, to understand why he is such a great character when written right.

Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane Complete Series.



Really enjoyed this series, nice light-hearted take on the Spider-man and Mary Jane relationship, told from Mary Jane's point of view. The artwork and shading is really well done. My only complaint, it ends five issues into Season 2 as it was most likely cancelled. And I really wanted to read more in this series.
