Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

I am hoping that Rogue gets a nextgen release, from all reports that was the superior of the two.

@ Magius - I'm 100% certain it will !bm I'm playing the PS3 version at the moment and enjoying it quite a bit (almost as much as Black flag) but for me, I must say I enjoyed Assassin's creed Unity more as it was more a traditional AC title and really looked next gen in comparison

From what we can see of the trailer...
-The eagle-headed cane sword on the right hand (=right handed sword fighter and left handed blade user like all AC games). Also the cane sword being concealed means they're (devs) targeting on social stealth (along with the disguise stuff from leak back in January)

-Samuel Fey (Let's just call him that for now...) wields A SINGLE HIDDEN BLADE like Arno or Altair on the left hand.

-On the left wrist you can see that... thing (shoots poison darts?).

-Fighting will also include the use of fists (Metal plates over finger bones on the left hand and brass knuckles on the right hand) Also proves that the assassin doesn't rely too much on brute force (I could be wrong).

-Also there are metal strips on the SIDE of the left hand. Meaning: You'll block incoming attacks with the left hand and fight with the right hand sword and most probably use the hidden blade with the sword during fighting) (For some strange reason these remind me of Batman Arkham games....)

-The official assassin insignia is slightly different from the previous 'victory insignia'.

-Graphics: Notice how realistically the water drips down the hidden blade and also from the eagle beak-tip of the cane? Also the reflections and the close up details look really better than Unity already (Hoping all of that's in-game).

My thoughts, pretty but more of the same. The grappling hook/zip line is interesting, the carriages not so much and the gang warfare is basically the Borgia Towers from AC2 updated. The "new" Stealth mode seems a strange mechanic, not sure if it replaces blend etc.

The one thing missing is how you switch between Evie and Jacob between missions or even if that is possible in mission.

Right now I see nothing to get me insanely excited.

Looks interesting.
Reminds me of Gangs of New York, except in London.
The grappling hook should make getting around more easier.

I really want them to move from Western settings and start exploring further back in history again. AC had a really nice period to explore and I would really love to see them go back to the middle ages and earlier. A game set in India, China or Japan would be great, but what about ones set even further back in the middle east? Mesopotamia, Egypt (yes mentioned before) and other early cultures were massive and had pretty densely populated cities, surely they can explore these?

@ Magius - Agreed - and if yo have played the recent games, there are so many hints that the plan to use those settings, even an assassin in ancient Egypt is mentioned many times. I think at present they are going for more mass appeal settings which may actually be leading to the series decline.

Regardless I'm a fan will play every new AC title

I found a set of comics a while back and I think they are European and they were set in Rome and other unused settings. AC: Chronicles China is very good and the protaganist pretty interesing, just too bad they can't give us more because of the game style. I know the next two in that series are set in Russia and India and that's cool, but why can't they use that creativity for the main game?

I really think that the pressure to do annual releases is forcing less giant leap innovation and the studios are playing safe with staying in easily researchable and accesable time periods and regions.

Eh all the Ubi CEs are starting to look the same, definitely think I will skip this one.

Also like how the one CE that includes the Season Pass is exclusive to their online store...

I like the look of the Rooks edition - sucker for maps.

I wonder if I should skip Unity and go straight for this - it's tickled my fancy (plus I don't have the sour taste in my mouth that some seem to have from Unity).
