@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

I am now following atlas the path of atlas... then will make my way to the centre Playing this between Dues Ex sessions but sometimes this just keeps me hooked for hours! Found such an incredible planet last night, long green grass, tall trees, beautiful blue skies, tons of wildlife some that are 4 meters high and amazing storms that roll in periodically.

If you ever get to make "homeplanet" in NMS, I think I found mine

I found a similar planet to that: long grass, rainforests, and heavy rain storms. In Hello Games' patch notes they did say that they are working on a base building mechanic, so hopefully we'll be able to build some nice buildings soon

Quick question.
I was following the Atlas path, got my first anomaly & Atlas station. But the Atlas path has disappeared now. Must I wait for a new anomaly to appear, to take me to the next Atlas station?

Yes also make sure you are upgrading your drive and also completing the Milestones as the path of atlas requires certain milestones to be met

I also heard you have to keep those Atlas stones you get. DON'T SELL THEM!

Yea, the blue path is Atlas, & the orange path is the center of the universe path.
But after the first Atlas station, the blue path option is now gone.
So back on the way to the center of the universe, until Atlas pops up again.

34 !disappoint
I'm not even halfway then, still paying R50 000 a slot lol
Nice to know there are many more slots still to come
Need a bigger ship though, still with my starter ship 25 slots. All the other ones I found so far, are the same.

YOu can't, in the first week a couple of guys tried to meet at the same co-ords on a planet and while they were at the same place at the same time, they couldn't see each other

@ Cravhino - Sean Murray has always said its a shared universe in terms of stats, and that your content and planets could be explored by other players but you will not meet other players. It wouldn't be possible to have players in the exact same game as the universe is too big for them to track across their servers.

Maybe for NMS 2 they will figure something out.

I personally have found and landed on previously explored planets but the game is so big that's unlikely to happen often

Lied...maybe, over embellished...most definitely!
& the hype train did nothing to help matters.

@KF I don't care either way, but yes there were a couple of lies around MP as evidenced by the Late Show clip as well as the other interview in the vid.

Yes the hype train got out of hand, but as Jim points out poor PR and comms from Sean and Co didn't help. Mr Hat and I had this argument around communication already when the game launched IIRC.

I think that if they hadn't tried to build the mystery so much, especially as hype built, they would've been fine as NMS is very much in the vein of other crafting survival games and it does that very well.

Is this a complete[censored] show? Of course not, the game has good points that players enjoy, but is it the complete redefinition of gaming that some hyped it up to be. Of course not, nothing could ever be. And that last point is not the devs fault. What is their fault is that they didn't realise that things were getting out of hand and so put a stop to it. Like Jim said this isn't on the scale of the Gearbox/Randy Pitchford lies about Aliens CM, but they do have to take some of the blame for not calming things down.

The price issue, to me that is not such a big deal. Gamers were informed enough to judge the value of the game IMO and if they feel ripped off they should've waited to see what the game was actually like before committing their $60
