Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

I can't remember when last I played a game that gave me such a rush playing it, this game can get so intense its freaken awesome! There is one major issue with this game, once you finished it, how long are you going to have to wait for a game even remotely as awesome as this to hit our consoles(same genre)? I think (but I hope not) it'll take some time before a game as great as this gets made This game truly set the bar high for anyone who was thinking of developing an action adventure game!

After RoTR and FO4 I have nothing else to play till Dark Souls 3

I have completed every area up to Geothermal Valley in RoTR a 100%, not sure how many hours in total I have played, but I just switched off now as I have other things to do and the game says as a total I have only completed 38% of the game How damn big is this game?, cause up to Geothermal Valley wasn't a small map so far in itself? Or does the Expedition Challenges count towards the 100% completion?

A heads-up for anyone who is still on the fence about picking up the 360 version of this.

I got a chance to play a fair amount of it, and I gotta say, it's a pretty damn awesome game. And it looks quite good for a port from the Xbox One. The game also runs incredibly smoothly as well.

There were more than enough moments when I stopped and wished I could just screenshot the area I was in. Areas are much larger than the previous game with more wildlife roaming around. I suppose I should feel guilty about killing all the squirrels I saw

The Digital Foundry comparison is pretty spot on I would say. There are some noticeable differences, like the lower poly count and textures, and the less complicated/richer lighting, but not once did it break my immersion in the game once I started playing. If anything, I had to force myself to stop.

Right now my favourite areas are the optional tomb challenges which, despite a fair amount of simplicity, evoke older Tomb Raider game design with their size and what you have to do to get around. I'm hoping they get more complex the further in I get.

Unlike some of the ports done for the older gen hardware, this one is really well done.

Nixxes did the 360 port and I really have to say. These guys seemed to have done an excellent port. Saw some gameplay footage of the 360 version. And it still looks damn good on 360

The game is an absolute masterpiece! It owns anything released this year, not that I bought many games this year and the reason purely is due to devs releasing a lot of poo lately, so compared to what I have played and seen, RoTR is a GEM and a game that has had me glued to my tv!

@ DP - Which weapon do you use mostly? I favour the Bow in almost every situation, its powerful, easy to use and all the different upgrades and arrows makes for a deadly and efficient weapon in almost every battle! I don't think I ran out of bullets for my guns once in this game lol! My bow is my go to killer

The compound bow, pretty much the only weapon I use, don't need anything else really. Poison arrows are OP as hell, can take out a group of 5 with one arrow.

Makes me wonder wtf that one reviewer was smoking when he said the bow isn't effective in this game and that was a negative for him, like wtf are you retarded it's the most powerful weapon in the game lol.

Agreed man, Compound Bow + Poison Arrows are great and also my go to attack ammo and weapon! After that I also like the Grenade Arrows with splash Damage, freaken cool, it is OP I agree, but at the same time get great satisfaction using it, next play through will def be on Hard, a little disappointed I didn't kick the game off on hard, would've been a good choice

PS: As for that reviewer, he's an idiot, nothing else...

Survivor is where it's at. Not really that hard since 98% of the game can be done with stealth so headshots and stealth kills are the same no matter the difficulty.

True...I find stealth play better in this game than MGS V lol! Not sure why I added "lol", cause tbh, it's fact

Yeah I usually hate stealth but in this game it just works so well, maybe because it's not overly complicated and you only have a few options when it comes to stealth but in this it feels so much fun. I think the map size also helps a lot with this and the conversations between the enemies as well, I find myself just listening to their conversations most of the time, even picked up on 2 guys that were on the island from the last game and they were chatting about it. It has been implemented so well in this. Everything about this game is S class.

That is exactly this games biggest winner, is the FUN factor!!!

Then there's the pace the game plays out at, it's perfect! It gives you the opportunity to explore and pace the game at your own accord, yet, it offers fast, exciting, edge of your seat missions/quests. The game never feels like its coming to a stand still, it always keeps you entertained and busy! I've been playing so many RPG's of late, and I think that might also be why I'm loving this game so much, is due to it being more linear and plays out a lot faster than RPG's...ugh, [censored] that! Its because this game strikes the right balance in every aspect!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, in my opinion, this truly is a masterpiece! a Memorable game that will not easily be replaced!
