Teb, I know that. When it happens it happens, but for me it won't last long. I am most definitely moving out of the country. Long distance relationships rarely works out and I don't want something like that. So yeah.

I don't go out most of the time, so I don't go out much. Most people my age (20 - 24 range) think the sun shines out of their rear ends. Some are decent, but most are not. A relationship won't happen soon with me. I also don't like clubs, too loud, almost everyone smokes, and to chat to anyone you have to shout.

So I'll just wait patiently for now...

To be fair--I'm rather misanthropist.

This doesn't mean I'm not open to enlightenment. I just generally don't bother with people unless someone can come along and show me the good side of themselves.

I'm also fairly solitary, I generally enjoy the presence of animals to anyone that isn't non-immediate family. Therefore "Single and Closed for renovations" UNLESS I just happen to come across someone that changes that.

And I'm happy.

Very happy in a relationship which is coming from someone who had his heart ripped apart repeatedly by the same person over the course of 5-7 years. I am however in no way innocent and partly to blame for being treated that way.

I will say that if my current relationship doesn't work out (big "if" there) I don't think I will be open for business for a long time... a loooonnnngggg time.

I loved the single life but feel content when I'm single as I do in a relationship, both sides work for me as when I'm single I spend much more time with friends which is different when I'm in a relationship as I spend more time with my loved one.

My current girlfriend had to deal with a guy who was utterly closed off emotionally for a couple years, took time but I could finally open up again and I've never been happier.

Yeah the ex did a good number on me, but I also allowed it. Happens when you think you have met the woman you are going to marry in High School and fixate on that "goal"

Bugger me that is far too similar, for me the therapy was alcohol enhanced with speed and thrash metal and also a fair amount of recreational substances
