But putting aside all the negativity.

A reminder that Blood Of The Dawnwalker releases in 15 days

Because a bunch of fat Americans can't stand up and change a disc (which takes seconds), we are being forced into a no ownership future.

Statistics don't lie. Physical games are still very very healthy outside of America. It's doing great in Europe and even more so Asia.

People don't hate Americans enough

Sony has become quite the douchebag company to be honest. Sony has become your typical fat American company

Yep, has a disclaimer on the boaxart that the disc needs an update to version 2.0 and you need a PS account before it can be redeemed, so it's not even a reprinted disc, same version as launch.

The physical edition of Ghost of Yotei is unfortunately the vanilla version with a code for the DLC.

@Tea

Hope you had a chill weekend as well. I finished Beast Of Reincarnation, so I wasted my whole weekend trying to decide what to play

@Knight
You can also change the direction of the story and open up new levels in the game.

I'd love that. Plus the game coming with an unlockable arcade perfect port of Data East's Robocop game.

Dead Space Remake
Fantastic!!
Almost a whole new game.
Played the PS3 version twice, but the remake is by far superior!
Only negative I have is the stress level is a solid 10
Need to do new game plus one day, & get the other ending.

Hell is Us (Xbox Series)

Very different to what I expected but really good aside from one or two missteps during a rushed final act. The combat is decently fun and a little level-gated at first, but unguided exploration and a ton of surprisingly tough puzzles had me hooked. It feels a lot like Dark Souls-style organic storytelling and world building as you explore, but (so long as you don’t enable a toggle) you don’t need to deal with Dark Souls combat. Well recommended but you need to be in the mood to read, observe, experiment, and probably write in a notebook/notebook app.

The Chant (Xbox Series) -

I do love me some Prime Matter-published AA filler. Survival-horror/puzzler that sees your protagonists travel to an island retreat that contains the ruins of a former retreat that basically tried to summon Cthulhu for cosmic enlightenment. Explore and puzzle through regions sequentially, gain new crystal powers that function as weapons, and watch the other survivors lose the plot. It was about 8 hours long to see and do everything, so doesn't make the mistake of outstaying its welcome like so many modern games do.

Escape from Ever After (Switch 2) -

A good option for a Paper Mario-like game if you enjoy that visual style and mini-game heavy RPG-ing. Runs on longer than it should but has a neat premise of a “real world” company invading literature, exploring fantasy worlds, and reducing their characters to office workers. A low numbers game but impactful upgrades and a fair amount of strategy required to defeat enemy types with armour/shields/buffs etc. Catchy soundtrack too.

Mario vs. Rabbids: Kingdom Battle (Switch 2) -

More done with it than finished. A good introduction to XCOM-like tactical strategy games and very polished, but damn, Nintendo-related IP really get a free pass at times in incredibly middling games. Writing is cringeworthy, it runs on far longer then the mechanics to support, and progression feels formulaic as hell. Still, worth it for young players getting into the genre I guess.

Jax & Daxter The Precursor Legacy
82% complete.
Never played theses games, so decided to give them a go on the PS3.
See what all the fuss is about.
First game is good, solid platformer.
Jax is a mute & Daxter is his buddy, that turns into a ferret after falling into some goo. Didn't know any of that before hand.

Jax 2
67% complete.
oh boy where to start, it was terrable!
Pretty much everything that made the first game is gone.
Its now a super generic, cheap a$$ boring game.
Story does get a bit interesting, with the whole time travel thing.
But Jax can now talk, wish he wouldn't. He has a bad attitude & a goatee lol. & guns which you can't really aim. & flying cars that handle like soap boxes, full of soap!
Didn't finish this one, got about 3 quarters, & just gave up.
Game is super cheap in some levels. Just being hard for the sake of being hard.

Jax 3
Takes place right after the last one, it is better but thats not saying much.
Little bit of an improvement over the second game.
Game is now Mad Jax with dune buggies. They handle okay, & the desert was a nice break from the city. Which you go back to later on
Ending was lol with the ferrets.
Overall, don't see what all the hype about these games were.
Or maybe I was just late to the party

Twister Metal PS3
Don't remember this game being very good. But after watching the series, I've being wanting to replay it.
Its not as bad as I remember. Only 3 drivers for story mode. But there were nice live action cut scenes.
Good boss fights!
The monster trucks were fun. But that Iron maiden robot, damn! She just wouldn't go down! & the Sweet Tooth Carnival was also fun, just the chopper section that was irritating.
At the end it says Sweet Tooth will be back...still waiting...

Castlevania Lords of Shadow
Have not played this in a while, thought I would give the games another go.
Gameplay is God of War with a bit of Shadow of the Colossus.
Forgot how linear the game was, not that
Game still looks great! & Patrick Stewart does some voice acting!
First half of the game is great, then the second half they hit you with all the annoying puzzles.
Final boss fight is also annoying.
Still a great game though.

Nioh 3- Loved every second of this game. Very addictive gameplay, great open world to explore, rewards you for exploring, amazing boss fights, I don't often get the plat trophy for games, but this was just too much fun and ended getting it.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2
First half of the game, very boring. But things start to pick up around the halfway mark, in story & gameplay.
They could have done a game between the first & second one.
Where Gabriel becomes Dracula, then turns his son. Battles his son, & then later his grandson.
But its just a cut scene in the second game. Think some of it was DLC for the first game.
Game does not feel as liner as the first. Some new powers are fun. Plus you can move the camera now, unlike the first game.
No more QTEs, so the boss battles feel less gratifying when Gabriel lands the final blow in a cut scene.
Not as good as the first one, but still fun.

Same guys who did Dishonoured, & it shows.
Not as repetitive as you would think.
Just the ending was very under whelming.

Dying Light 2
40 odd hours. Bit buggy.
First half of the game was pretty standard. When you make it to the second map, things get better. You can glide short distances & get a grappling hook, thats a bit usless.
Story was meh, final boss fight was a dumpster fire.

Mortal Kombat 1
Not as good as MK11.
I didn't like the Kameo mechanic, you can't choose Kameo fighters to actually play with like in MvC. They do have fatalities at least.
Story was good with the whole MK multiverse.

Game and Console prices going up and the games getting smaller and quicker to.complete.

Really starting to feel it is not worth getting games at launch price, rather wait till they marked down/on sale.

Dead Rising Remake
Just got 2 of the endings A & B.
Remake looks good, survivor AI is also good.
Love the save check points in-between areas, saves a lot of back tracking.
Psychos are quite easy to kill, compared to DR2. Only missed 2 or 3 of them.
Just he army guys that show up on the last day are a pain in the butt!
Also get the maintenance key early on, helps a lot later.
