Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition

On PS4, playing all of them on PS4. Don't want to jump between gens, with the second game on PS5 aswell.
Improved on everything form the first game.
Ending was a bit underwhelming though.
Had a quick look at the dlc levels. Looked like more of the same.

Second attempt at this game.
Played & finished on release. Unfortunately on that first playthrough, the game froze during the final cutscene. So had to watch the ending on YT
Well on this playthrough, I got stuck in the floor after 7hours of playing. Was probably three quarters finished, game breaking glitch
Everything that the second game improved on is gone!
Game looks more PS3 then PS4 by todays standards.
Framerate is too $hit!
Random load times pop up, completely taking you out of the experience.
Game is super linear, not that I mind
Story is meh, takes place between the first & second game.
Fury is unlikable. But if I remember from my first playthrough, she does get better.
She has some great powers, & the bosses look great. But the fights are average.
They added a Dark Souls type gameplay, which I liked.
Darksiders 4...please be good

Robocop Unfinished Business

Even better than the first one, bit a lot easier.
Get to play as Murphy & ED209.
End could have had a boss fight at least.

The Last of Us Part 1
I've now played this game over 3 gens.
PS3, twice on PS4 & now on PS5.
Just when you think the game can't look any better, looks amazing on PS5!
Still a fantastic game!

The Last of Us Part 2
Just over 20hours.
Game is still great, & plays great on PS5!
Don’t let the woke moments put you off.
Lot more action then the first one.
Ellie does her best John Wick impression!
Only negatives I have is the ending & the game does go on a bit long.

Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered
Between 7 & 8hours each to complete.
Remasters look great!
Combat in both games are very easy, the puzzles on the other hand can be very time consuming.
You can get lost in the first game pretty easily. The second game is more backtracking.
Story is good, second game picks up right after the first.
Always loved the music in these games!

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
Replay before the new one.
83% complete, 1% lower then my first playthrough.
A Star Wars game with a Souls gameplay mechanic.
It works, but the combat is very sluggish.
No fast travel & a bit of texter pop in.
Otherwise good.

Syberia: Remastered - about as good an option as you could hope for (following on from the Amerzone remake), especially if you've only played the clunky X360/PS3 or Switch ports of Syberia 1 and 2. Still a great adventure game but flawed in many ways. Unlike dense, pixel-hunting point-and-click adventures, this is more about sweeping vistas and atmosphere with only a few interactive spots, and way too much time exhausting dialogue and backtracking.

South of Midnight - Fun game, beautiful visuals and stop motion style animation. A showcase for what UE can do in the right hands.

Black Ops 7 - What a total CF. But I can see the Endgame been popular for awhile.

Anthem - Finally sat down to play it before the servers die. Really not that terrible to be honest. Lots of missteps sure, but it's fun once you take it for what it is and disassociate the Bioware of before from it.

Ninja Gaiden 4 - Total Platinum game. Brutal, blitzkrieg combat. Non-existent level design and dragged out story. But still a fun, wild ride.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Played on PS4, game not on disc for PS5. Just a game key disc.
Great game, big improvement over the first one.
Bigger maps, more customization, side quests, combat is better, story is great, more combat stances & force powers.
Game is a lot easier though.
Unfortunately just like the first game there are a lot of technical problems.
Texture pop in, sound dropping out & crashing.
In 20hours game crashed twice on me. After the second crash, game would not start up & lost all my progress
Was 60% done, near the end of the story, had to check the rest on YT.
Really disappointing, such a good Star Wars game.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector -

Such a great game if you're after a stressful but turn=based visual-novel/dice-roll/RPG hybrid with great feel-good writing and characters.

More challenging than the original (which you should play first if you've not), with new mechanics that can effectively soft-lock you into a game-over if you're reckless. However, there is still a lower difficulty mode that shifts it back to the style of the original (more negative outcomes and less choice but you'll get to an ending). Perfect, low-requirement games to play on Switch or a PC handheld too.

X-Men Origins Wolverine
Replay before the new Wolverine game comes out next year.
Still a great game, aged pretty well.
Games based off movies are notoriously bad. But this game barely sticks to the movie at all. Which is a good thing lol

Tormented Souls:

Wish I had tackled this sooner as it's a solid indie effort despite an opening sequence that had me thinking it was more digital titillation than reverence for the genre.

It's got a decent narrative, creepy setting, and campy dialogue, but it's more puzzle-focussed than survival-horror. Lots of puzzles that range from logical to head-scratching, but it's easy to clear out areas easily so you can backtrack for clues/keys.

Gears of War Reloaded
4th time playing this game.
3 times on Xbox360 & now on the PS5.
Looks fantastic, compared to the original.
Does feel dirty playing a Gears of War game on a PS5

The Thing Remastered
Great remaster.
Could never play this on PS2, took too much memory card space

Digimon Story Time Stranger and the DLC.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4
The 1+2 collection was great, this one not so much
Replaced some levels & songs. All the secret skaters you unlock are actually dlc. Trophies are online only.
Disappointing

Lords of The Fallen (2023) - Finally got to play and finish this. Really good. Has a bit of a floaty feel to it, but once you get used to how fast you move here, it's very empowering, unlike most Souls-like. Pro-tip - don't dodge backwards. Dodge to the side and you basically slide around opponents and attacks.

Astro Bot
Fun little game, pays homage to the Sony PlayStation over the years.

Space Marine 2
Good, not as repetitive as the first game & looks great!!

Metro Redux
Re play on PS5.
Still a great game! Story, gameplay, graphics all great!
Does end a bit abruptly, & the NPCs can go on a bit. I don't need your life story, just give me the mission!!!
