@VectorTwoSix

I think that's exclusive to the Bandai Namco Store unfortunately.

@Tea would be able to confirm for you.

If we can get that in, I'll be there day 1!

I'm definitely going to be ordering Ace Combat 8, but I'm holding out for a potential Collector's Edition. I see you have the "Deluxe" edition, but it looks like the digital deluxe rather than steelcase etc? Unless I'm seeing it wrong?

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - terrific gameplay but barebones story.

Marvel Super Heroes
From the Marvel vs Capcom collection.
Not as good as Children of the Atom.
You get Infinity Gems that you cam use in a fight, it works ok.
4 fighters from the previous game are back, & a few new ones like Shuma-Gorath & Blackheart. Which no one cares about
Thanos is the final boss. If you stay on him, he won't get much chance to use the Infinity Gems.
Anita is the secret fighter. Don't know where she comes from, but shes scary

X Men vs Street Fighter
From the Marvel vs Capcom collection.
Switching partners mid fight is fun.
Only 3 new X Men fighters, rest are from the previous games.
Street Fighter roster is good. Except for Charlie?
Apocalypse is the screen filling final boss. Just watch the drill!!
Then you have a one on one fighter with your partner, why?
Otherwise, aside from the tagging in & out & the Street Fighter characters, not mush new.

Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
From the Marvel vs Capcom collection.
A rehash on all the previous games.
Apocalypse is the final boss again, with Cyber Akuma after.
Dan & Sakura from Street Fighter, are the only new fighters.

Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes
From the Marvel vs Capcom collection.
YES! The best in the collection!!!
Some nice new fighters, "we are Venom!".
Final boss is Onslaught, two part fight.
You tag in & out, like the previous games. But this time you also have assist characters.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes
From the Marvel vs Capcom collection.
3 v 3 fights now.
With a 3 stage final boss fight. No idea who it is?
LOT of fighters to choose from. Most are from previous games.
Guile from SF finally made it, & Jill from Resi is good!
No character endings is disappointing.

Werewolf The Apocalypse Earthblood
Thought this was current gen only, found a last gen copy.
Thought it would be a bit better, but was ok.
Plays as man, unlock doors. Wolf, crawl though vents. Or werewolf, kill everything.
Story is werewolves are basically eco terrorists. Fighting a evil energy corporation
Gameplay is very basic, game looks decant at times & not so decent at others.
Lots of blood, but no dismemberments?
Levels are forest, with bases. Deserts with bases & oil rig.
2 different endings. & one boss fight that goes all Resi!

Lies of P (PS5)

One of the few games I've played that made me want to dive into NG+ straight away.

Interesting story, great combat, excellent level design / art direction, and hard as hell, but I never feel like I'm out of options during a fight.

Prototype
Enjoyed it even more the second time around.
I remember it not looking that great, but looks pretty decent today.
Considering all the things you can do, & the great frame rate for all the chaos. I will take a knock in the graphics department.
Story is good.
Map is a decent size, but small compared to today.
Story missions, & challenge missions are all there is to do. & 1 or 2 collectables.
So you looking at around 12hours to do everything.
Best part is consuming npcs, & using the military vehicles & weapons.

Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation Remaster

Still a brilliant return to form after TRIII has so many bad levels mixed in with the great ones. A sort of segmented open-world approach to the three mid-game acts - which work surprisingly well so long as you don't miss a key item and have to backtrack - with an impressive sense of scale and exploration. It's still classic Core-era Tomb Raider, with blocky worlds, key hunts, traps, and tank-controls (the modern option is still rubbish), but it's easy to recommend if you missed it back in the day, or if you enjoyed the TRI-III Remasters and want more.

Sorry We're Closed

Sort of a visual novel/survival-horror hybrid with PS1-era stylings and a great soundtrack. When you're not in combat or manually looking around, it plays from a fixed camera-angle perspective. As protagonist Michelle - cursed by a demon looking for "true love" - half your time is spent chatting to significant NPCs in her neighbourhood and a demon hotel over the course of 4 days, making decisions that affect their relationships and Michelle's fate.

The other half is spent in discrete survival-horror-type levels that wouldn't feel out of place in Resident Evil or Silent Hill; especially as she gains a third eye ability to see into other realms. Lots of resource management, key hunts, puzzles, and first-person combat that focusses on hitting exposed weak points to charge up your weapon's ultimate shot.

Looks 100% better then the first game, even by todays standards it looks great!
But its just not as good as the original.
I never liked that they made Alex Mercer an outright bad guy.
The upgrade system is not as good as the first game.
Not that much to do, short game & then it just ends.

Little Nightmares 1 & 2
Still great little games.
The the loading in the first game kills me. 30 second load every time you die
No loading in the second game, & better then the first.

Tomb Raider V: Chronicles Remastered

Played little of this when it first came out on PS1, so it felt fresh despite also feeling like an expansion for The Last Revelation at times. What I didn't expect was to enjoy it so much, as the change to three mini-campaigns was a relief after the length of The Last Revelation. It's also means more diverse levels, puzzle types, and some gimmicky sequences that are a mix of novelty and frustration.

Rome is great and feels a bit like Venice in TRII, albeit with less shooting goons and more interesting puzzles sequences as it goes on.

The Russian naval base and submarine section are sort of like TRII's Offshore Rig levels, but with way too much plodding through tight, confusing spaces.

The Ireland section with a young, unarmed Lara was my second favourite, though it plays more like a point-and-click game at times as you need to find the right items to progress.

The infiltration of the Von Croy Industries tower reminded me of Area 51 in TRIII, though it eventually limits your ability to just shoot your way through and you need to use crude stealth and items again. Also has a rough ending set-piece that sucks with the aged control scheme.

That said, if you're picking up the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Trilogy, don't just skip it after The Last Revelation as there's still fun to be had if you want more classic Tomb Raider gameplay.

Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered
I still say the only reason they remastered this game, is so they can call it Re-Mars-tered lol
Looks much brighter on PS4, not so dull looking.
Destruction still works great!
Not much if any story.
Cars handle ok, considering the terrain.
Weapons are fun, nano gun FTW!
Maps quite small by todays standard.
Marauder DLC was short & sweet.

Tomb Raider VI: The Angel of Darkness Remastered (Xbox Series X)

I knew what to expect with The Last Revelation and Chronicles (and enjoyed both), but it was all building towards The Angel of Darkness and seeing how my memory held up.

Even with some restored gameplay mechanics and a "modern" control scheme option, I'd argue this is the only Tomb Raider game that was actually undone by its controls. People may hate tank controls, but they worked just fine within those blocky, grid-based 3D environments of the first 5 games. The Angel of Darkness has so many cool ideas and intricate stages that we'd see in the first Crystal Dynamics trilogy, but the controls are still rooted in the past and constantly fight you.

South of Midnight (Xbox Series X)

My review is up for more detailed reading but well worth a go on Game Pass or even at its AA-tier price if you want a brisk action-platformer-musical. The story, voice work, and visuals are fantastic, while the gameplay is a little too familiar and formulaic for its own good. However, it has the most incredible soundtrack that synergises with the action during story beats, set pieces, and some great boss fights.

Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered
Talk about an underrated game! Loved it!!
Never played it on PS3, looks good on PS5 & no load times.
Very linear, gunplay is still decent. Good story & voice acting.
Very easy, gets slightly tougher in the last act. Little over 7hours to finish & unlock new game plus.
Must play!!
