Low - Sad that I had to come to this conclusion in the first place.

Low - Our complex is being re-painted but the painters had to come into our garden. I've spent a lot of time during lockdown making our garden really pretty, digging new beds, making little brick borders, planting new shrubs and made a lovely herb garden as well. The painters came in the other day and within an hour had destroyed everything, kicked around the bricks, trampled all the herbs, messed stones and sand all over the place. It was heart breaking to see, after all my hard work

Low: Spent most of the weekend sick in bed. PROBABLY not covid, as I don't have enough symptoms... but they refuse to actually test you. They tell you to "Go home and monitor yourself". For What exactly? If you die, you had Covid?WTF? Even if they do test you it takes 10 days, by which time you are either better of terminal. It really makes you wonder just how many untested cases there are

Just go to dischem, it's R700 for the test, they do it right there either in store or in a parking lot depeding on where you go. If you test positive and Discovery is your Med Aid then they pay for the test.

Dischem suspended that service as the labs were overloaded, it recently reopened. The only one in Gauteng currently is Centurion Lake.

@tebulot one of my neighbours went to the Lancet at Sandton Clinic and got tested without a referral. Also apparently the Nextpath at Sandton Vitalab will test without referrals.

BTW two more Dischem's opened for testing today (Eastgate and Mall of the South)

High: Finished my first module in graphic design today, receiving my module 1 diploma. Passed with distinction. Definitely a morale booster, compared to everything else that has happened lately.

High - Finally got my certificate delivered for my Psychology + English degree. So good to hold it in my hands

High: First week of back to gym!!!
Low: oh lordy... first week back at gym
My endurance and strength is shot. Especially my Bench press is TERRIBLE.
Good news is I should get back into it by two weeks or so.

Low - Heard we will have no power for most for Sunday. Repairing cables or what not, on top of load shedding.

Low - Random asshat trying to take a chance and break in through the back windows while you're at home because they think no one is at home.

On that note, they broke into my bosses house during the night, while he was at home sleeping. They stole a TV, then the alarm went off & they bolted. This is in a "secured" complex.
Then they poisoned two dogs at another guys place. The one died, the other is doing okay.
& we can't go to Clicks

SUPER HIGH: After 9 months of applying for jobs and getting no responses, today I finally got a call back for a company that is interested in taking me on. I hope that this works out, I am so sick of this unemployment gig.
