@Catha - I get you - I still waited on the physical for Alan Wake 2. Was also improved by then with updates

Luckily we arent starved for games at the moment - too many releases

This all is starting to seem rather deliberate from publishers. Absolute scum

@Tea - it's pretty sad. Like Physical needs any more blows

Going to suck, navigating the minefield of spoilers. Already a 2 day early access perk for deluxe digital. Now a further 3 weeks.

I suppose it's better than the year that AW2 had to wait.

@Magius: I hate to admit this being a massive Marvel Knights fan, you are 100% right.

@mag - agreed but perhaps it could be a flamethrower? or maybe he picked up a nasty std that gives him that burning sensation.
Honestly though with GR, Lobo, Blade they cant go too dark so they have to do "immature stuff" else the tone is too serious.

@ Bat With Lobo the violence is so over the top as to be cartoony, he the DC version of Bugs Bunny so a silly tone is expected. With Blade and GR these are proper horror characters shoe horned into the Marvel Universe. If you read some of the better GR books from the 70's and a few from the 90's they are proper horror books. A couple of the Garth Ennis minis from a few years back also had GR as a proper horror comic (Trail of Tears comes to mind).

The first two Blade films had the right tone, they took the idea of vamps pretty seriously and when there were jokes, they weren't silly. There is a difference between childish humour and appropriate humour and I fear that teh directors have gone for the childish.

GR in the 70’s was always Exploitation Horror Cheese, continuing the marvel traditions of horror that they were publishing after the downfall of EC comics, Tomb of Dracula, Strange Tales, Werewolf By Night, Morbius the Living Vampire, Blade, etc. As it progressed, so did the story arch’s, they got darker and became excellent horror titles, GR being my best. To pacify a less discerning audience is not what I expected to see from any GR movie, they can leave that to the Fantastic Four.

@DD Exactly. GR should be about demons and a character that is akin to Jekyll and Hyde and he should scare you. That end sequence in the trailer doesn't scare you, it makes you want to facepalm.

New photos from the superman movie:. The suite is similiar to the one he'll have in the Superman comics relaunch.

Looking forward to the Expendables 2, good old fashion popcorn action like the good old days. Nobody can do it better than those guys.

Such a meeting of pop culture, man I would kill to be on that set.

Yay! Only Two more movies and this officially ends. No more Twilight… all will be restored in the Vampire Lore universe, where they don’t sparkle, and the werewolves don’t look like German Sheppard’s…

John Carter

The film is largely based on A Princess of Mars, the first novel to feature John Carter. The novel was originally published as a magazine serial in 1912 and then brought out in book form in 1917. In the novel John Carter is an American Civil War veteran who is miraculously transported to Mars, known to its inhabitants as Barsoom. He is immediately captured by a race of green-skinned barbarians who are 12 feet (4 meters) tall and have six limbs, green skin, and long tusks. Formerly an Earthlike world, Barsoom has become less hospitable to life over the millennia. As its oceans evaporated and its atmosphere thinned, Barsoom's inhabitants became hardened and warlike, constantly fighting one another to survive. Barsoomian society thus devolved into partial barbarism.
