@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.
As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).
Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.
I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.
I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.
I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).
I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.
I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.
Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.
That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.
NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon showed some of the new characters in Mortal Kombat X today, Cassie Cage, who is Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's daughter, and she has a combination of moves from both characters.
Also, we got a better look at Kotal Kahn, the character briefly shown in the gameplay trailer released yesterday.
We also found out that the half-human, half-insect creature is named D'Vorah, and Ferra/Torr is the Master Blaster Mad Max 3 character shown. Ferra is the little lady that rides on Torr's back. He can even throw her like a projectile.
This story continues after the break, where you can find more images and footage of MKX.
The NRS team also showed off the option where you can select three different versions of the same character, as shown in the images below. In Scorpion's Ninjutsu mode, he actually fights with two swords.
As far as the story goes, it takes place right after Mortal Komat 9 ended, and goes as much as 25 years into the future.
You can expect aged characters, and the next generation of fighters to appear.
Ed Boon said the main bad guy will be a surprise returning character that people won't be expecting.
Not a big fan of the combat variations but will wait for a demo before making judgment on that. Feels very deadly alliance. Would have preferred a more steamlined MK9 combat mechanic. Still damn excited for the game though!
I really like the presentation of the game, the character select screen and models are amazing and the font is really nice, very impressive presentation wise.
I dont know how I feel about the game taking place 25 years in the future?
On the plus side we are getting a bunch of cool new characters!!!
But on the down side, we will probably lose a few favorites!
Guess we will have to wait to see the final roster.
Either way, REALLY looking forward to this
