I'm also about 10 hours in and I have to say that it is a beautiful game, although I do find that the character models in cutscenes are a bit off. Its the eyes and I know every game has that problem but Aloy's eyes look too close together and everyone doesn't seem to have any expressions in the upper half of their faces, almost like they all had Botox shots,
I also noticed that when Aloy walks into bushes or through snow, she clips into the area, doesn't push the grass aside. I notice that the wind moves the grass/bush, but Aloy doesn't. Its kinda weird. Rain is also weird, nothing gets wet, You can see the drops, but that's it. During one cutscene it rained and all I saw were the drops hitting the characters and then disappearing as if absorbed by the models.
Gameplay wise, I like the combat, much more tactical and skillful than say AC games. You have to circle, move and dodge attacks. I agree that there is a shedload for resource gathering especially as you invest skill points in the Resources tree, but I prefer that to the trope of, "don't use that trap/arrow as there could be a bigger badder enemy you need it on later" of resource management. I do like how no where is safe, if you are not aware of your surroundings you will run into a herd of machines that will attack you. I am disappointed that besides dangerous machines there are no dangerous animals, would've liked that double threat to keep me on my toes.
Story is decent, the whole post-post apocalypse is great, but I hate that Aloy is some Christ like figure with a greater Destiny than even she realises nonsense.
Over all, I also reckon an 8/10 and a very good game that shows off the PS4s power. I am playing on a normal PS4 and this game, TBH, shows that the PRO is a waste as it looks as good as anything on a high end PC.
