Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Damn guess the news of Disney infinity getting canned is true i take it that means we won't see any new figures released as well.

Sad news indeed They will release the Alice Through the Looking Glass characters, followed by the Finding Dory characters, and then that is it.

I guess I can finish my collection now, but I'm really gutted by this !disappoint

Wow that is surprising as Infinity does seem to be the market leader now, having taken over from Skylanders. Maybe the last two sets, SW and Battlegrounds, didn't sell as well as expected.

This is kinda suck... I was actually looking into getting it!
They have a great database of characters
I'm guessing the figures will now become collectors items? Better buy up all stock!

Get into it, the figures are awesome display items. The older ones are out of production so they may go for silly prices on eBay, but so many were made you will eventually be able to pick up second hand ones cheap.

To avoid being overwhelmed, pick a series and stick to it. I picked Marvel and SW and there are a lot of figures in those two sets.

BTW it looks like Lego Dimensions is not going to be released locally so with Infinity cancelled, the only choice for people now is Skylanders, which hasn't had new figures for some time IIRC, and Amibo's.

Kotaku has a scoop on what 4.0 could've been. Sorry linking via another website where I actually read it, but giving credit to original source.

So Disney were actually clever…cancel while atop of the wave

http://icv2.com/articles/news/view/34505/why-did-disney-shut-down-disney-infinity

Disney’s shocking announcement with last week’s earnings report that it was shutting down Disney Infinity (see “Disney Shutting Down ‘Disney Infinity,’ Takes $147 Million Charge”), its Collectible Miniatures Game/video game hybrid (toys-to-life, in industry parlance) was hard to understand, given the high sales reported for the line and the popularity of the underlying characters. But statements by Disney CEO Robert Iger in the conference call following the release of the report, and info on the overall market for the category, may show what happened.
The inventory build-up that led to most of the $147 million write-down was fairly recent, according to Iger, and was tied to the release of Disney Infinity 3.0 last year. “[W]e did quite well with the first iteration of it,” Iger said in the conference call (transcript via Seeking Alpha). “And we did ok with the second iteration, but that business is a changing business, and we did not have enough confidence in the business in terms of it being stable enough to stay in it from a self-publishing perspective.”
The first iteration Iger speaks of was the launch configuration in 2013, which included characters from Disney and Pixar movies. The second iteration was the addition of Marvel (along with new products tied to the Disney/Pixar line) in 2014. And last year, Disney added Star Wars to the mix, with an additional Force Awakens release tied to the movie premiere, along with new products tied to the Disney/Pixar and Marvel lines. It was this range of 2015 releases that apparently caused the problems.
But why? If the Disney/Pixar and Marvel lines were doing well and then you add Star Wars in the biggest year ever for the property, shouldn’t that be like printing money? Apparently not, and the problem may have been that the market is not growing as fast as the increase in the number of products.
The toys-to-life category grew 7% in the U.S. last year to $720.5 million, according to NPD figures reported by the Wall Street Journal. Sales in the category worldwide were $1.25 billion in 2015, flat vs. 2014, according to a Wedbush Securities analyst quoted in the report.
But in addition to Disney throwing a new line into the category in 2015, Warner Bros. launched Lego Dimensions, with characters from fourteen franchises (including Lord of the Rings, DC, The Simpsons, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic World) last fall, and Nintendo continues to produce its Amiibo line and Activision its Skylanders line.
So with a flat or near-flat market and rapidly increasing numbers of releases last fall, something had to give and Disney ended up with a big pile of inventory.
No tree grows to the sky, as the saying goes, and the toys-to-life category appears to have hit an upper limit. It’s still a great market, but not the kind of category in which Disney wants to operate on its own. Hence the decision to license to other companies in the category instead of producing games itself.
“[W]e just feel that it’s a changing space and that we’re just better off at managing the risk that that business delivers by licensing instead of publishing,” Iger said. “It’s just that simple.”
Disney will release final Disney Infinity products with figures from Alice Through the Looking Glass and Finding Dory.

Hey all,

I've been trying to get the Arcade trophy related to playing 10 online games in the arcade, but it seems online is rather dead.

If there's anybody who wants to play online, please let me know and we can try to schedule a time for us all to log on and search for a match. Let's try to revitalise the arcade

So it seems that last night's ~3.5GB update added extra trophy lists for Marvel Battlegrounds and Finding Dory. What are your guys' opinions on this? Personally, I think it's great. I just wish that they had done this from the start.

Need help please…I did all the Xbox live and system updates together with the Disney Infinity updates.

The problem is that when I run the Disney Infinity Battlegrounds we get a message that the language file data is corrupt and the game cant start up.

The characters works perfectly in the toy box but I can’t run the actual game.

I tried to re-install the file, however, the system tells me the files are already in place and I don’t need to install them.

Any one got any idea how to fix this….

@Sandman Delete the game and reinstall? From your post it seems as if you just tried to reinstall over a current install. Other than that I have no idea

That is also what I was thinking....will try it this weekend.

To be honest I will not recommend this new sets to anyone, just to much of a hassle to get them to work...

Have no problems with it at all on PS4. Sounds like data is probably corrupted on your machine.

Just a reminder that Baloo, Black Panther, and the Light FX Kylo Ren figures all launch this Friday locally. For those who have been collecting all the characters thus far, Black Panther is the last figure needed to unlock the Keyblade.

As always all upcoming figures and recent releases are featured on our campaign page which can be found by clicking here.
