@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition launches this winter and includes all of the game's DLC, spruced up graphics, rebalanced gameplay and a 1080p polish.

The Deathinitive Edition includes (deep breath) the Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov's Axe, Van Der Schmash Hammer, Fletcher's Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus and Argul's Tomb.

also "Naturally there will be a large-scale project based on Darksiders"

Likewise - much as I love the series I'm confused as to why the didn't bother to include the first. Especially given the ending of the 1st game is pretty much the ending of the 2nd so it's hard to separate.

I'm not sure what code they used for the remaster but both the games got decent, if unspectacular, PC ports so I'm surprised they haven't done both. If this launches at a cheap price point I'll grab it.

One play through was enough for me on both games, so not worried.
Enjoyed the first one more though!
Just bogels the mind, why they did not remaster both games?
They did it with GOW3 was well. Why did they not add Ascension?
& I hear they will remaster the Batman games, except the third one
WTH!

I have an irrational amount of love for this series so can't wait!

I'm also one of the people who overall prefer less-focused, sprawling structure of the 2nd game so while I'd like to see the 1st game remastered, I'm happy to pick this up again.

So reports coming in from Gaf users that this is another terrible port and runs worse than the previous gen versions.

Slow down and frame rate drops
Lots of screen tearing especially in the open world sections
Missing textures and texture pops

People are busy streaming now and you can clearly see screen tearing all over the place.

Hopefully they have a patch in the works.

Not many big sites reviewing the game but those that have mention the issues but not to the extent GAF users are -

Enjoying it on what must be my third time round but I can agree with the summary . It's definitely not an essential remaster but certainly a big step above a basic port like the Dishonored DE. I'd strongly recommend it to people who've never played the franchise or fans of the series looking to replay it in a much less glitchy and inconsistent state compared to the original release.

It's a pity this review and so many others show the same lack of effort - Their video content is from maybe the frirst 2-3 hours of a 30 hour game and the reviewer even failed to notice the game is a (mostly) locked 30FPS, not a 60FPS title.

Its a remaster or whatever, so 2 min review is good enough. Is what they think.
& yeah, this is a must play for those that have not

@Scottie - pretty consistent with what I've found so far. The good news is almost all the performance issues are limited to the open world section of the opening act and screen tearing tends to happen in passageways transitioning between the open world and dungeon interiors. hopefully something that can be improved with some patching. Once into the 2nd act and after, it seems to maintain a solid v-synced 30FPS.

On the technical side, I think Gunfire Games started with the most broken parts of the game and worked back. The section on Earth in Act 3 was possibly the smoothest running part of the whole game (compared to poor performance and the chance to hardlock the console on last-gen) and likewise, the DLC "The Abyssal Forge" ran perfectly. Only DLC I need to check is "The Demon Lord Belial" which was so broken on PC and last-gen consoles I only ever finished it once and then it wrecked my save file.

Only disappointment so far is that the DLC campaigns or not directly accessible from the campaign (so integrated may not be the right word), rather they unlock at later parts of the story (when you've unlocked the appropriate skill) and are properly scaled for that part of the game.

"Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition was just the start. Since we acquired the franchise we were looking for options for doing a DS3. The remaster was just a way to get some spotlight on the franchise again, reactivate the community and have a better starting position for DS3."
