@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

@ morschee - I recall it being a small 30meg patch or something - could be wrong though... might have it confused with sleepings dogs

Look...I might also be wrong, but I seriously can't remember any DL's apart from my extra content, and everytime I switch Darksiders on, i hope for a patch DL, I'm sure i would've remembered if I saw one. Anyway, in my entire game i froze about 5 times, didn't bug me either, I need the "forced" breaks lol!!!!

As Scottie pointed out in the chat, Nordic (the new owners of the Darksiders IP) is releasing a collection pack (2X physical disk + DLC for Darksiders 2) - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-02-13-nordic-resurrects-darksiders-and-red-faction-for-pc-ps3-and-xbox-360-collections

My only concern is how many people are gonna pick up a game that's been out the spotlight for so long and most of the fans probably already have the games and DLC?

lol seems totally pointless, why release these, they weren't even that good. Considering you can pick both these titles up for under R200 there would be no point in a clooection unless it released at a price of about R300-R350

I'd strongly recommend them then! They've actually got quite a different feel to them but the combat is great in both and the Zelda-ish puzzles of the first game are complemented by more platform/mobility based puzzles in the second. They really created solid mechanics that fit the characters well.

The 2nd is a particular favourite of mine and is up there with the original LoK Soul Reaver for a great plot-driven open-world game.

@ Knight - Excellent Games - I cant wait for the 3rd one. If you feel like a great 3rd person adventure game with a dark fantasy story, get it! These games mix of a variety of gameplay mechanics borrowed from other good 3rd person games and pulls it altogether really well!

I also agree with Lurch on the Soul Reaver feel of the game, with it's great voice acting and open world gameplay!

It would be nice if it was both games remastered. However, instead of a remaster, I would rather have the next game in the series.

Darksiders 2 is still my favourite hack and slash game, but I won't be getting the remastered version. I agree with DG, I'd rather have the next game in the series

They're gonna have to work harder for this one I think. Darksiders 2 at 1080p/60 sounds awesome but I'm pretty sure my current work laptop could probably handle that now with the PC version.

If they included Darksiders 1 and worked the DLC into the Darksiders 2 campaign I'd be more keen (and also remove all the damn DLC bugs that can lead to save-destroying freezing).

That said - it's still an excellent game, so for people who haven't played it last-gen it would be a worthwhile purchase as the gameplay would hold up brilliantly.

^ I imagine it will, WiiU version has Argul's Tomb and Death Rides on disc. Now they have to recode/recompile something they will include patches/DLC I'm sure. The previous collection was just repackaging because they could get away with it.

I hope so - I really enjoyed all 3 DLC campaigns for Darksiders 2 and if integrated, it could work well to expand the length of the last 2 realms you visit. Unfortunately I only ever played the last DLC of the season pass "Demon Lord Belial" once before any subsequent playthroughs would freeze up my Xbox save file.

Already played & enjoyed both of them. So won't be getting them again.
I did like the first one more than the second one.
& for those guys that have not played them yet. Its a damn shame that the first one is not getting a remaster as well.

I guess its their way to just get some momentum for the DS3 announcement (which is obviously going to happen otherwise Nordic would not have picked up the IP)

that said, not including 1 just makes the release pretty worthless imho.

Game didnt sell well on its original release It didnt sell well on the WiiU re-release. That is not going to change now. There is a reason Nordic were so easily able to pick up the IP in the first place.

But for the sake of the IP I hope it does sell well enough. I would consider playing the 3rd.
