@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.
As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).
Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.
I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.
I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.
I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).
I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.
I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.
Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.
That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.
For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.
Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.
Ok so for you guys out there that have Apple Iphones, Ipad and I somethings ... The below link is for you:
This App allows for you to "Harvest Souls" of people in your area "checking in" at various locations near you - Use this to unlock stuff in Darksiders II the Game on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Download the Darksiders II: Soul Harvest mobile app for your iPhone and iPad, and reap your way to epic rewards. Harvest souls of those who have checked in near you on Facebook to unlock a deadly in-game weapon, the first issue of the Darksiders digital comic, and much more
Like the Collector's Box set but probably won't be able to afford it for now. Pappa's got too many freaking figurine orders and he never learns (What a dumb@$$) Oh, and I really enjoyed the first one and this one sounds bigger and better.
Had a chance to play this game Yesterday at the THQ Presentation for the last of THQ's 2012 Q4 releases.
If you are a Fan of Darksiders 1 and liked the visual styling, you will LOVE 2. It looks great, plays better and the combat is smooth with a variety of combo to weapon sets.
THQ have now introduced a loot system for you to find Weapons with randomly generated Stats and the option to drop them in loot chests and share them online with friends playing the game - This feature apparently is a life saver when encountering bosses or enemies that require centain elemental damage or weapon strenght to defeat them.
But most important, for me anyway, was the scale of the game. The director talks about Darksiders 1 being the "moon" and Darksiders II being "Earth" in comparison to the size of the game and the amount of objectives in it. Honestly from what I've seen, that comparison is apt for the creatures you encounter too - Giant, and I mean HUGE enemies you battle in an almost Shadow of the Colossus Styled battles. epic...
Vastly improved leveing up system, easy to us UI and a new map system for better guidance to your next objective. THQ has also made sure that the fist play through offers close onto 30 hours gameplay and that if and when (you most likley will) play it a second time through, new adventures / quests are unlocked so you are not just running through the same game. Very smart!
Keep your eyes on this title for August, its going to be one of the best Adventure Action games you will play this year!
Oh and I also saw the mask that comes with the Collector's edition. Solid and Awesome looking - Feels and looks like its made from bone and surpringly does not feel cheap and plastic - Its also "life sized" too
30 Hrs gameplay....AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Also like how your second play through will differ from your 1st (with new quests), now that will make me wanna replay the game.
@ Tea - "Life Sized" you say? Dammit...gonna have to buy a bigger wall mount stand for it, I thought it will be the same/similar size (From top to bottom) of the game cover, luckily I haven't drilled into my wall yet to fit that stand i bought.
The game will be good to...it sounds like a MAJOR improvement on the 1st game, and the 1st one had it's faults, but wasn't a terrible game at all...I have good faith in this sequal.
A life sized mask! I thought it was gana be a small little thing, like you normally get with a collectors edition! Also explains the high price, unfortunately i'm not a fan of the Darksiders games! Does look good though
Busy getting the first one off PSN plus, never got around to playing it. Will play through that one first and see how I enjoy it then look at getting this, Death is pretty bad ass looking lol.
@ Woofels: Hmmmmm...the 1st one might put you off...might. It's not the greatest game, but quite fun. From what I've read and seen so far, DS2 is a MASSIVE improvement on the 1st, so try not to judge the game too much on your 1st experience...
Ah ok...it's just that DS1 either got ppl loving it, or hating it, there was like no middle, good or bad, that's it lol! I like it, didn't love it, but liked it. DS2 I believe is going to be EPIC!
