Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - First Teaser
The plotline surrounding Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - as Episode IX has now been titled - has been, much like the Sith, shrouded in mystery and almost as complete a secret as Avengers: Endgame. No one really knows what's going to happen in it and, quite frankly, Disney have a lot of goodwill to win back after the debacle that was The Last Jedi, so that may just be for the best.
The first teaser for the movie has just dropped, though I'm not sure at how it's a teaser at two minutes long, but whatever. For those wishing that the new saga should have strayed into it's own territory instead of tying back into the original trilogy, may just be disappointed as the teaser hints that this Episode will be delving further back into the original trilogies events.
It will be interesting to see how J.J. Abrams brings the new Trilogy, and the original Trilogy to a close, but at this point in time, I'm thoroughly skeptical. Expect more news to be released over the coming months as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker gets closer to it's December 20th, 2019 release date.
