Ironic thing. There is going to be an album for GTA6. And it will be available on both CD and Vinyl.

So clearly it's about control for Sony and Rockstar, not wanting you to own games. But you can own a CD and Vinyl. Both are crappy companies. I really want to see Sony crash and burn so hard. But the way Sony is going, it might be sooner, rather than later.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Officially Sold 5 Million Copies

Konami and developer Bloober Team have announced that its remake of Silent Hill 2, which launched in 2024, has now sold over 5 million copies worldwide across all platforms. This officially makes it the highest-selling game in the series, trumping the original Silent Hill 2 and other games in the series.

The sales milestone was revealed by Bloober Team on X, confirming that the Silent Hill 2 remake passed five million copies sold since launching in 2024. Sales were also helped by its wider release on Xbox as opposed to its initial launch on PS5 and PC. In total, the sales also account for physical copies sold as well as digital and those downloaded on subscription services. "The town continues to echo far beyond its borders, and this milestone shows how strongly its story still resonates," wrote Bloober Team.

Silent Hill 2 launched in October 2024 to critical acclaim, with many praising Bloober Team's faithful retelling of the iconic original psychological horror experience. Following the story of James Sunderland who one day receives a mysterious letter from his supposed dead wife asking him to visit the eerie town of Silent Hill. Upon arrival, James is haunted by visions of his past and the bizarre horrors that lurk in its fog.

The official description reads:

"Investigating a letter from his late wife, James returns to where they made so many memories - Silent Hill. What he finds is a ghost town, prowled by disturbing monsters and cloaked in deep fog. Confront the monsters, solve puzzles, and search for traces of your wife in this remake of Silent Hill 2."

In related news, Bloober Team is currently working on a remake of the first Silent Hill game, which was announced last year. The first game tells the story of Harry Mason, who stumbles into Silent Hill after crashing his car nearby. His adopted daughter Cheryl is missing, so Harry ventures into the town in search of answers. Bloober Team hasn't announced a release date for the Silent Hill 1 remake yet.
