@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Here at work, instead of working, we were having a discussion regarding the worst games we have played. For me the three worst games I have played last gen just rolled of my tongue instantly. In no particular order of crapola I give you (with the review that sums up the game IMO the best):

I've mostly been pretty good about sticking to what I know but two come to mind as purchases I regret:

Lost Planet 2 barely functioned as a solo game and was only marginally more functional co-op. Thankfully they did good with Lost Planet 3 so I've got no hard feelings.

Soldier of Fortune Payback I only managed an hour of. Bad production values, barely functioning gunplay, just utter kak.

Got to mention these two as well.

Rogue Warrior.
Played it at a friends. Bad, so bad! But could have been worse!

Never played it! Never will! Not if it was the last game on earth

hah hah guys

Lost Planet 2 had the WORST DEMO EVER so that saved me from that game even when it was R99 new.

Rogue Warrior falls into the so bad it's good category - throwing a Spetsnetz soldier off a bridge with Mickey Rourke saying 'Reagen sends his regards" priceless.

If it was bargain bin price I would definitely give Ride to Hell a go just to see how bad of a train smash it is

One that immediately comes to mind:

The voice acting, the clunky battle system, and the incredibly slow pace... I just couldn't...

It has some semblance of a plot and you play as 5 factions in different environments through the course of the game so it has length and variety. The problem is each level feels like a ME3 style coop arena in which you have to do a checklist of rudimentary things. Admittedly, the boss battles at the end of each section are decent but typically require multiple players doing separate tasks, tasks the AI won't bother to do if playing solo.

As a solo player this makes some encounters insanely hard or tedious but it improved with a partner. Sadly, for local-coop at least, they use that stupid, tiny, offset split-screen mode Capcom started doing since RE5.

I did not find it that bad. I mean as a Resi game, it was pretty disappointing. But game wise, it was decent!
If you can pick it up cheap, give it a go!

You should try it out for yourself. And probably better if you have someone to play with.

God of War Ascension - awfully average rinse and repeat game. Too much attention on multiplayer and not enough on improving the game. Only God of War game I have not completed and don't want to.

Darksiders 2 - just wasn't and enjoyable game and was very very boring. Don't know how they mess up a game where you play as death.

Those are the most disappointing ones for me, the others were so bad it's not worth remembering them.

Mmm...if we're going on about games we actually played, then Pretty much a huge bulk of ArcSystem works titles...Especially Blazblue Calamity Trigger and Persona 4 Arena

BlazeBlue CT: . For an introductory game to a new franchise Calamity trigger was just terrible...it had a nonsensical story that only made sense years later (If you managed to play continuum shift extends "Calamimity Trigger Remaster")and even then it came across as really off...the game-play was ok, but it just felt too 'Flashy' as opposed to Guilty Gear which felt more "Grunge" and for lack of a better word "Hardcore"...BlazBlue did improve later on with the other versions, but Calamity Trigger was a terrible introduction to the series...even though I find BlazBlue interesting in its own right...it still comes across as GuiltyGear's "weabo" cousin...

Persona 4 Arena: Hey guys! Are you a fan of that awesome JRPG that had a great plot, relatable characters and ended on quite a high/conclusive note? Well F-U, those characters are in a fighting game now that plays like a simplified BlazBlue, has a terrible cut and paste story that is a chore to play through and is pretty much the SAME story between characters? Oh and guess what...ITS CANON!

To me Persona 4 ended...when Persona 4 Ended. Arena also felt too much like just a "reskin" of Blazelue with a "Persona" mechanic that was ripped off straight from that Capcom Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game (That came out on the Ps1/dreamcast)

tl;dr: Arcsystem works dissapointed me last gen... !disappoint
