Decided to dig out the old Warrior Nun Areala books. Holy crap the first series reads like some really awful fan fic. Once Ben Dunn gave up writing the books it improves in leaps and bounds but is still so '90s. Yeah and any guy or gal who went to catholic school is going to be very conflicted with the sexy S&M character designs ;P

And please don't give Snyder any kind of chance. That man needs to be kicked out of superhero comics period.

#1-5, first story arc in preparation for the film this weekend. #1 is free the rest were heavily discounted. A pleasant surprise at 40% the cost of the collected volume.

The Sandman by Neil Gaiman.

I'm busy with the second last volume. Neil has such a hypnotic and easy to digest writing style. He can drop these huge, abstract ideas and concepts while making them seem relatively simple and easy to latch onto. Great writing.

Batman Beyond (2016) Volume 1

I liked this.
Plenty of action and a twist ending which caught me completely off guard.

Fun read, think Deadpool meets Spawn.

Volume 11, the beginning of City of Bane.
Not liking this.

Ranger Slayer - What an awesome book, why is this only a one shot, easily the best comic I've read in a while. It makes me want to check out other titles in the series to see if they are as good as this because if they are I've been missing out

Not bad, but Superman in the future is still Superman.
Thats what made Batman Beyond so good. Completely new Batman, & still cool!

Takes place at the end of TWD, but before the jump to the future.
Wouldn't mind reading more of this story.

The Boys: Dear Becky #1-4 interesting but not essential so far. A sequel and prequel.

Dear Becky #5 - mediocre, the problem is there are three story lines: the present, the Becky storyline and the Mallory storyline. One of these is interesting (spoiler it;s the Mallory one) the others not even in the slighest. Garth sees fit to inject his politics in too, ad nauseam.

Joe Golem Vol 2 - a bit disappointing. Still decent.

Lobster Johnson Vol 1: Iron Prometheus - pretty good.
