Great ending and a great letter from Kirkman in # 193(double issue BTW). WD was planned to end at #72 (Bleak). Bottomline there was another volume planned but Skybound thought it would be unfair to buyers of the Compendiums. Still it was a great ending.

#193 will be included Compendium 4 according to Kirkman's letter

Batman by Grant Morrison omnibus volume 2. Currently on my second read. Absolutely amazing how GM dissects the character and explores his mythological and ancestral symbolism. Everybody has "their" Batman - this is mine.

Teen Titans: Raven

Inspiration taken from the Battle Royal movie.
Pretty good, but volume 1 ends right when it gets good.
Now got to search for the other 2 volumes.

Orion Omnibus by Walter Simonson



I'm not too familiar with the New Gods, but the stories in this book don't really make familiarity a requirement. Everything is pretty well explained and summarized. The art is dynamic and overdone (in a good way), and the fight between Orion and Darskeid is probably one of the best fights I've ever seen in a comic. Extremely cinematic stuff.

The downside though is that there are backup stories which expand on the main plot, but are out of order at the back of the book, so I had to manually go online to find a reading order.

Despite that, this is a great and entertaining series so far.

Still a classic, stick to print version though, format makes reading on a 10in tablet a chore

Prequel and Sequel - pretty mediocre even in the digital bargain bin

This. Just, wow. So amazing. Practically perfect. If there's one mini-series from the big guns of Marvel or DC you HAVE to read this year, it's this.

Read most of Madefire's free motion comics. Some were pretty good, others less so. The Planet of the Apes backstory to the films were the highlight.

Read a few Mignola/Hellboy Universe one shots. Most did nothing for me (Sledgehammer 44, LobsterJohnson etc) but this was excellent



The stars aligned too so I was able to get Baltimore vol 1-8 for 66% off on the Dark Horse sale (plus the remaining AvP and Predator omnibus volumes I didn't get on last years sale).

Good read, but you really got to pay attention.

Harleen #2 - Another great book, great artwork and writing, looking forward to the last issue.

Excalibur #1 - I didn't enjoy this, felt too slow especially compared to last weeks Marauders #1

Venom #19 - Getting a bit closer to uncovering what exactly Dylan is, but was a great interaction with Sleeper and seeing a bit of Dylan's power.

Silver Surfer Black #5 - Decent ending but the artwork still hasn't grown on me.

Marvel Zombies Resurrection #1 - Was pretty good and action packed my issue with this and the old Marvel Zombies is the heroes die way too quickly, we have really powerful being getting taken out too quickly, I'd like at least some sort of fight to be put up but there isn't and it was an issue with the old series as well.

Tales From The Dark Multiverse The Death Of Superman #1 - This was a great book, next to Harleen #2 it was the best of the week. That Lex Luthor scene was amazing.

Finished, the third variant of this book I own. Normally a big fan of DC's Noir treatments (B/W versions, not to be confused with Marvel's time period Noir series) but this didn't work for me.

The final chapter in TWD series.
The ending was okay.
The series does start repeating itself after a while. While just adding new faces along the way. I still enjoyed it, just Rick's death was super lame though. & Negan's character was wasted by the end.
