Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

If you don't understand fighting games you won't understand the differences, it's the same as someone saying Bloodborne is just like Demons Souls because all they know is the rumors of difficulty and due to that the games must play the same way.

That's not exactly what I was saying. I am not referring to the immunity frame differences, the change in unblockables, or zoning alterations. I just feel that:

A: Nothing new that really stands out has been done with the engine from Street Fighter IV.
B: All of the changes and additions honestly feel so minuscule they could have been added to IV (although after Ultra, I'm not sure they had anywhere to go so maybe V was the next best thing).
C: The fact that they are releasing content that should be there on day one over six months just gets on my nerves.

As far as I am concerned (not being a fighting game expert but having been a fan of this series and genre since they were first created) when I see "Street Fighter V" I expect to at least feel like the jump in number was worthwhile.

Considering that I lived through the whole Street Fighter 2 iteration run all the way from Special Champion Edition through to Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, this honestly just feels like Street Fighter IV v5 and not the next step for the genre.

But that is just my perspective.

We have 4 brand new characters and 4 that have not been in the series in ages, some most people probably never even played as they only appeared in the Alpha games. Existing characters have been changed quite a bit and feel and play completely different than they did in SFIV. SFIV main game revolved around option selects and focus, these don't exist in SFV, this already changes the game a huge amount. V-Trigger has also been added which immediately changes some characters and how they play and changes up the punishment and extension of combos within the game. This is hugely different compared to super meter and ultra meter.

This only tells me you have not played the game then or you just don't understand how to play the game. Vtrigger by itself already changes the game so much as well as the removal of focus and OS. Have you played the beta or game? If so which character did you play?

Yup very annoying, but Capcom was upfront with everyone regarding this, so if you are buying it and get upset you just didn't do any homework on the game, something everything should be doing these days with the prices of games. All the content will be released every month and that worked really well for Killer Instinct and I hope more fighters follow this. Get the core game out to core fans and then add the rest of the stuff that they don't care about but more casuals do in order to draw them in.

No character here plays like they did in SFIV.

As I said in my first post DP, to me it doesn't look that much different to IV. I said that because I have not played this iteration at all and can only comment on what I have seen so far, and what I have seen doesn't scream "buy me right now" (which I did with IV).

I also called myself out at the end of my initial post for possibly being too cynical, as I am well aware that I have not given V a hands on test, but need some convincing before I take the leap and buy it.

I wasn't trying to come off as "judgemental" and I apologise if that was indeed the case. I am just a skeptical buyer and don't know yet if there is enough here for me to risk it.

That's the thing, I am trying to give input into the game to show it's a totally different experience.

If you just look at Tekken 6 and 7 you don't see much of a difference but once you play you realise what all the changes bring. It's the same with this and any fighter.

But yes if you just look at it and don't see a difference then the game probably isn't for you and you should wait for a special or something. Unless you are going to be playing online for hours and hours there is not point in buying this.

Capcom should have done, like Square Enix is doing with the new Hitman.
Release it in parts as dlc, then release everything on disc.

It is released in parts, Capcom didn't force anyone to buy it, they gave fair warning. In fact it's even better this way, by the time casuals want their single player story mode the game will be available 2nd hand and would have had some sales for extra bargains. Win win.

Joe is really terrible but I like his enthusiam haha
