Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

LOL it was the worst of all the other options but each to his own I guess

Haha! I actually forgot how cool the other options were! The backpack, figurine or statue would have been sweet. Oh well.....

Damn reports of the game been buggy as hell on all 3 platforms. ITO of the console wars PS4 performs better than XB1 with PS4 running at 1080 and XB1 at 900.

Apparently the longer you you play the more prone to crashes the game becomes on all platforms. Also some users are reporting that loading of saves can take up to 15mins!

Played a few hours last night, pretty cool. No real issues, except precision aim (R3 on PS4) stopped working / responding after a while, which made hitting distant targets a real pain. Otherwise, nothing noteworthy, bug-wise.

The game looks great and plays well too. Really begins to shine when you mix your creative side in with the destruction. For example, shoot an explosive canister (the ones that launch when shot), attach to it with the grappling hook and ride that sucker into the sky. Loads of fun.

As for the grappling hook that came with the CE, I was actually impressed. It's bigger than my pipboy and nicely designed.

PS: I should mention that this is all pre-patch. The day 1 patch is 2.6gb

I chose to wait for the patch to download (2.695GB). Didn't expect it to take nearly 2 hours. PSN eh?

Looks like there will be lots of easter eggs to find, just like in the last game.

Just Cause 3 1.02 Patch Notes
Gamespot

File size: 132.1 MB

Significantly improved loading times
Optimizations to online stats
General stability fixes
Fixed an issue related to challenges, wherein vehicles sometimes disappeared when starting a challenge
Fixed issues related to screen resizing and closing the game window before the game has fully started up [PC ONLY]

& if you did not know...

UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES
You can skip cutscenes, in fact--all you need to do is hold B on your gamepad, or hit 'Skip' from the pause menu.

NO SPRINT BUTTON
This isn't an oversight; it's very much intended. Our designer's intent was to encourage you to use Rico's unique grapple to move around Medici far quicker than his legs would allow, as well as giving you the ability to traverse vertically.

NO CROUCH
Rico doesn't hide. Getting him up in the air is our version of the cover mechanic. Rico is far more deadly in the skies, than pinned behind a container on the ground.

FINDING THE LAST CHAOS OBJECT
While there's no mini-map to help you liberate bases and towns, you can always bring up your map to help find Chaos objects. When you're down to the last few objects in any given settlement, an approximate location for these will be displayed on the map.

^ not sure it was only 132MB, it appended to the original patch file like AssCreed Syndicate. Seemed to be more in the 300+ Mb range. Just guessing though. either way dinky, by today's standard.
