Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Yeah this definitely has a "We need to tack on SP, its not important. We can use it as a tutorial" feel to it. Will wait and see what the reviews say

From The Publisher:

“Whether it’s been through playtests in our studios, the closed alpha, or recent hands-on demos at events like E3 or Gamescom, player feedback has been essential to the development of Rainbow Six Siege. Getting the game in people’s hands and listening to what they have to say helps us understand how we can improve their experience, and we’d like to thank everyone who’s taken part in the process so far.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to push the release date of Rainbow Six Siege to December 1, 2015 for all regions. This wasn’t an easy decision, but based on the feedback we’ve received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation. We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call.

The closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege will still start on September 24, 2015 as planned, and the additional time will allow us to further test things like infrastructure and matchmaking. That extra testing and added polish will make for a higher-quality experience at launch.

We understand that many of you are excited to get your hands on the final game, but as gamers ourselves we know that quality comes first and we are committed to delivering the best game possible.

Bringing Rainbow Six Siege to life continues to be an incredible experience, and we’d like to thank all fans for your feedback, support, and unwavering enthusiasm. We couldn’t make the game without you. We hope you’re all excited for the upcoming closed beta on September 24.”

@Tea While what is said in the release is good, Ubi's track record is just poor. Also the lack of any info on the SP campaign does not fill one with confidence. The best parts of the old R6 games (talking Raven Shield etc on PC) was the SP campaign and the planning modes before a mission. I remember spending ages only planning screens and either being mad or elated when my plan worked or failed. A good R6 level should take you an hour to plan and no more than 5 mins to clear. I saw guy's plans go through the levels in 2 mins and less.

Well[censored]. Art Director Scott Mitchell confirmed at EGX that there is no SP camppaign, just offline play against bots and training missions. They are definitely going for the competitive market and hoping to horn in on the CS:GO crowd with this game.

LOL - you only found out now? That's why I gave up on this. Vegas 2 had something similar in addition to lengthy campaign and MP.

@Scottie up until this statement they still talked about an SP to be revealed. It was a bait and switch, the buggers. A R6 game without a SP campaign is not a R6 game IMHO.

For me what has been confirmed now was what I knew a month ago

Perhaps some were hoping for some later announcement but the writing was on the wall for me. Hence no further ubi statement until this dude popped someone's bubble at a gaming conference.

This was one of the modes on Vegas 2, I know I tried it and it was kak solo.

No $ale!

@Scottie yep no sale on my end as well. I am sure that this game will do very well with the competitive MP crowd, so Ubi won't miss my $

Hopefully that new Ghost Recon game will satisfy the old Redstorm itch.

Not going to lie. But I thought it was pretty obvious this was the route they were going to take.

@Sinn I shouldn't have been so naive given that we only had vague statements regarding SP and the major push that MP was getting, I was just hopeful that they wouldn't forget about those of us that prefer SP games.

The story that we saw in the R6: Patriots trailers looked to at least be interesting so I was hoping that they had adapted that story to this game.

Ubisoft made it seem that single player for Rainbow Six Siege was going to be important in previous showings.

OnlySP's comment to this news. Ubi were still talking big until E3 about SP. I suspect some kind of tosspottery going on there

Rainbow Six: Siege is definitely shaping up to be a multiplayer game that rewards dedicated groups: if you're rubbish, or having a bad day, you're going to make a lot of people angry at you.
