So took the MP for a quick spin last night.
Game required a further 2.5GB download on top of the installation, not sure what it included but such is life with games these days

.
Quick impressions:
1) The landing screen is well done, no confusion at all getting in and setting up different classes/loadouts. Customization is also a decent addition where you can add different gear to your character, most of it aesthetic as far as I can tell. Pretty standard CoD stuff. Easy to navigate to whatever it is you want to do.
2) There's also some platform extension by means of their app which is meant to allow you to customize and view your MP profile off of your mobile device. Trying this morning though and I keep getting met with errors so it could be experiencing some teething issues or high load.
3) Finding a MP match I think has room for improvement. As far as I could tell there's no option to pick your region, or to pick a specific server. You pretty much select which type of match you want and the game does its best to match you up with others.
Though this does seem to work well, as I'm pretty sure I was only playing with SA'fers last night. My ping was always good and I never experienced any connection based lag.
What would be nice is to at least have the option to browse existing lobbies, and to view activity on all match types. From last night it seemed as if people were only playing Team Deathmatch as I tried to join others but it didn't look like anybody was playing anything else.
4) Looks wise, the game is pretty. Unfortunately my cards show their age so I can't see it at its full potential, but it definitely tempts me to get a better card sooner rather than later. Need to try it with a decent pair of headphones as well or crank up the volume to highest.
5) Gameplay wise, it's a lot of fun. The more gravity oriented maps add an extra level of complexity that I found invigorating, and once you figure out how to zip around using the exo suit, and use its various perks to aid you in skirmishes, it's a blast.
6) I didn't do much in terms of loadout customization, but it seems part and parcel to the CoD brand. As you level up, you unlock better perks, weapons, add-ons, etc. Though in the past it's never bothered me to be behind on gear in comparison to other players, I find that skill ultimately trumps gear, so despite the few advantages having better gear gives you, it doesn't mean you'll do worse than other, better equipped players.
So ultimately, the question is do you enjoy FPS and do you enjoy CoD? Then getting the game is a no-brainer. They're not re-inventing the wheel, and the standard tends to always be the same, so if you've enjoyed it in the past, then I can recommend it.
