@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

How much would "free delivery for orders over R 1000" affect your decision to more purchases from Nexus Hub?

Tiny bit of PC games as 90% are digital on PC. Steam mostly, Origin for Battlefield and Dead Space 3 only. Then my 3DS and NDS games. Traded some in of late as well.

My temp. setup of my PC and PS3 temp spot, just easier sitting there to play of late. Busy building onto the house a recreation room for my PC and consoles and such so the wife can have her rec. room back.

My Wii, Wii U, some PS3 and some XBOX 360 games.

Some more PS3 games in a box. (Have more PS3 and Vita games digitally than physical copies)

Current Living room setup, with my slimline Xbox 360(phat is in that cub-board, only pull it out when friends want to have a LAN), Wii U in bottom and Wii next to it. PS3 usually resides there.
Still want to get a HDMI switcher jsut have 1 cable running from TV then use cable holders and paint them same color as wall to make it look better.

The last of my PSP games.

Not really gaming just super awesome! Friends Bluray best thing money can buy for TV!
Have around 140blurays and probably bordering 300 DVD movie and TV shows have quite a bit as well.

Most of my XBOX 360 games are at friends place as he recently purchased XBOX for 1st time so gave him Halo's and Gears of War's and The Darkness 1&2, some fighters and such to play.

PS2 and all it's games are at brother-in-laws place, hopefully I'll be getting them back this Thursday as we are meeting up for LAN, spitbraai and beer.

Not posting the handhelds as it's pointless.

I keep putting off posting this as I wanted to post my setup too. But the console setup is just a TV, PS3, Box, media pc and my games in the TV unit - so nothing special PC setup is not to nothing special either - PC box and 2 LED screens on a wood desk

PS. sorry for the shiney photos. I am not great with cameras and lighting etc. you can mostly make out whats there though.
edit: Oh and a few games are with my sister and nephews - can't recalled exactly wich though Will need to chase them up on those
edit 2: Also the older PC game outer boxes are desambled and packed away just cos they take up too much space

As promised, here's what the study/man-cave looks like currently. Still very much a work in progress as I still have shelves to build and put up, art that needs framing and put up properly, no TV or TV stand, etc.
All in due time but I'm happy with it for now.

Work desks, no other place to put manga/figures so that's where they go for now. Will move that shelf elsewhere eventually. Over the desks will be the main art wall.

Temp holding pen for consoles, games, two random wallscrolls. The empty wall is where I'll put another TV up as well as other shelves for games, figures and manga.

Opposite corner shelves house all my comics and remainder of figures. Also aiming to replace these with a set of Kallax someday. This section will only be for comics and related material.
