Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

2K and Turtle Rock Studios, creators of the cooperative shooter classic Left 4 Dead, today officially announced Evolve ™, an all-new multiplayer shooter experience. First revealed exclusively on the cover of Game Informer magazine’s current February issue, Evolve will be available this fall for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC.

Evolve expertly blends cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster. Set on an alien planet in the distant future, gamers hunt their prey in adrenaline-pumping 4V1 matches. Players experience Evolve as a first-person shooter when playing cooperatively as the four hunters, while they control the monster in the third-person perspective, providing a gameplay experience unique to Evolve. In addition to revealing Evolve, Game Informer details Goliath, the first monster included in the game, and the first squad of four hunters, each with their own unique classes and abilities.

“Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can’t find anywhere else,” said Chris Ashton, co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios. “Evolve’s co-op vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we’ve ever experienced.”

Evolve will be a generation-defining multiplayer experience,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “As our first new IP for next-gen systems, 2K is working with Turtle Rock Studios to deliver a game that’s instantly entertaining and impossible to put down.”

Evolve is available for pre-order beginning today at AWX. Those who pre-order the game from participating retailers will be rewarded with the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes the Savage Goliath skin at launch and a new monster character as soon as it becomes available after Evolve is released.

looks and sounds quite interesting but tbh I think this game will only reach its full potential if you play it co-op with some friends

That is kind of stating the obvious though... every co-op game would be like this.

That said, the idea is interesting. But it comes down to execution. Hopefully they release some gameplay videos soon.

We (Tea and trevor) had a chance to sit down and play this game about two weeks ago at a local 2k EVOLVE preview event and it was such a great experience. I had the opportunity to play as both the medic and then the Monster and I can genuinely say playing both sides is a blast. The game is structured in a way that if you are a lone gamer (like me most of the time) you will most likely want to play the Monster. If you are a bro gamer, you most probably team with your human counterparts and hunt said monster. they 4 vs. 1 mechanic works exceptionally well.

The recently released new pics really shows how diverse the gameplay is and the fact that you are not playing against AI, makes the levels, regardless of the amount of times you have played a level, still feel that much more dynamic.

Im not a big fan of these sorts of Co-op shooters but this title, having had some seriously fun hands on, is definitely a must buy.

Well we were playing a BETA version- same as the earlier gameplay trailer they showed with the gorilla looking monster. It was setup up on the PC build, all local LAN.

But seeing as its the team behind left 4 dead, I'm positive will have local LAN support for consoles and PC.

However, in the presentation before the gameplay demo, 2K did say that the game won't have AI as they want it to be a dynamic experience, each character be it Monster or Human, must be Player controlled. so that's 5 LAN friends at all times...maybe that will change in the final build?

2K and Turtle Rock Studios, creators of the cooperative shooter classic Left 4 Dead, today announced that their upcoming multiplayer shooter experience Evolve™ will be released globally on October 21, 2014 for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PC.

Everyone who pre-orders Evolve from participating retailers will receive the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes the Savage Goliath skin at launch, and a new monster character when available after Evolve is released. Players who pre-order from selected retailers will also receive the Exterminator Weapon Skin Pack or the Instant Hunter Pack. Check with your local retailer for details.

Evolve expertly blends cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster. Set on an alien planet in the distant future, players hunt their prey in adrenaline-pumping 4v1 matches. Evolve includes multiple monsters, hunters, game modes, and more than a dozen maps, providing gamers with incredible gameplay variety and nearly limitless replayability.

Evolve will be playable at E3 from June 10-12, 2014, at 2K’s booth (#1301) located in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Evolve is available now for pre-order at participating retailers.

Personally don't think this is going to be released in SA. Due to it being online only. Same that happened to Titanfall

DESTINY was Online only as well dude...

Also some news:
http://www.destructoid.com/hunt-s-off-evolve-alpha-postponed-on-ps4-283286.phtml

Opinion: I honestly did not know this game was still in alpha...that's good, more room for improvement. A new L4D style game is always welcome

Wish I was in Japan though, I checked that they have a pretty "unique" version of Left for Dead for Arcades (I think)

Well ikari the thing is, titanfall required specific servers not just the fact it was pure multiplayer. And as far as I know Evolve isn't using that same infrastructure so it is coming out. Also why can SA people test the alpha if it's running on dem same servers?
