Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Well this is going to cause issues for Ubi. Seems that PC version is held back to make it more comparable to console. Oh dear.

Well screwed in the sense that the PC version is the best possible version of the game, possibly as good as that E3 footage, but this isn't anywhere near the level of Arkham Knight IMO.

TBH I can see the logic, they don't want the game to suffer on console as the perceived inferior game, but confirming that you are gimping one version for the others is stupid. I doubt that there are many players who are are on the fence as to which version they will get. I would prefer PC, but the guys I will play with are all on PS4 so I am going with PS4. There is no cross play so there is no technical reason for maintaining parity is there?

@DP yeah but that is WB just releasing shoddy ports not holding back the game on purpose. WB has some serious problems ahead with PC gamers. I can see them abandoning PC altogether although recent behaviour suggested that they already have

How MMO focussed is this game? Does it have a communication system and queue, Or is it like Destiny?

That's difficult for me to say since I don't play MMOs and the Beta was very limited. Comms are handled via Party Chat for your fire team, but in the PvP area there is a system that when you get close enough to a player you can chat to them. I didn't use it in the Beta but it is there.

My Advice is wait and see, but I think it leans more to Destiny that WoW

Thx Magius, I will definitely hold out rather, if its anything like Destiny, then I won't touch it with a 10 ft pole

Deleted the closed beta install before they announced the open beta so didn't download it again.

Did you try out the new mission and did anything else change from the closed beta (if you played it)?

Watched the short film Agent Origins this weekend. Standard fare, if you saw the Ghost Recon one released with the last game you know what to expect i.e. bad acting and lots of shooting. What was interesting is that while this game takes place in NYC, the smallpox outbreak has occurred in Shanghai or Beijing, Paris and another major city, It's now clear as to why NYC is practically abandoned, there's a much larger scale attack going on that will be mined in expansions and sequels.

Didn't actually get a chance to play that much of it. Was playing with a friend that didn't play the closed beta, but that didn't matter much anyway since it reset my character so played the first mission again. Only played about an hour.

I heard there were a lot of changes to the Dark Zone. Like they added more enemies and that you get marked as Rogue if you shoot other players.

I read that they changed the going Rogue issue in that there is some leeway to cater for when you accidentally shoot a PC so that you don't go Rogue immediately. That happened often in the closed Beta.

Seems the people mostly have great things to say, some even calling it a destiny killer...I don't take much interest in some of the issues, as mmo's have plenty on launch. Still in 2 minds about the game though.

Think people are overhyping things. I am very happy that I pre-ordered and once I get a new PS4 will undoubtedly put in many hours at launch. However I did have criticisms from the Beta, lack of enemy variety, mission type variety been main ones. Some of these have been addressed in this update so I have high hopes that the final product will be very good and have variety.

I think the only thing holding me back is the fact that it doesnt have a communication feature like a chat box to call out for groups. Hopefully it has a queue system? Would be great if they introduce an auction house

apparently the season pass going to cost between 500-600 on the za store so I'll probably pick it up and it seems the season pass won't cover all the dlc as it says year one so we mite have to fork out even more in the future so mite be wise to share buy.

Can't believe the PC version gets a chatbox and not the PS version ....school boy error IMO. Wonder what the extra dlc will cost us. I already got the Season pass with my game as I thought it was cheap, just hope this dlc will be non gameplay related, like gear styles and stuff, then I don't mind.

Yeah I agree. Not having a chatbox in a MMO-style game is retarded. Destiny suffers greatly for it, for example.

However, the more I hear about this game, and the way Ubi is handling the DLC, the less interested in it I am.
