@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.
As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).
Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.
I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.
I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.
I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).
I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.
I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.
Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.
That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.
For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.
Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Key Features
A Return to Pure Survival Horror: From the father of the survival horror genre, Shinji Mikami. He appears once again as the director of this game, one which makes your blood run cold, but heats you right back up. Players must survive on limited resources, experiencing that supreme match of action and horror, that indescribable terror. To survive in an afflicted world, your anxiety and nerves will be pushed to the edge.
Brutal Traps and Enemies with Puzzles: While struggling to survive, you’ll have to face indescribable terror, cruel traps, and sly mechanisms. Players can die in a trap all too easily, however, at times they can turn them against enemies.
In an Unstable World, Not All Horrors are in Plain Sight: The player is driven into a corner as the world distorts and warps according to mysterious and evil horrors. The scenery: hallways, walls, doors, rooms, buildings, and even nature, all transforming in real time based on the player’s actions. And the threats keep coming from all directions.
A Supernova of Horror: By setting one foot in this world weaved from lush backdrops, characters with personality, and a polished story, players will be sucked in, willing or unwilling, tension and anxiety rapidly mounting. When that fear is smashed and conquered, you can experience the bliss that can only be found in The Evil Within.
Apparently the game is actually being developed by Tango GameWorks which is Shinji Mikami's Studio and Bethesda is just publishing the game, although i'd still feel better if Bestheda wasn't involved at all but i guess i'll wait til i see more of the game.
i'm sure BETHESDA* can make a lot of awesome game but i don't think a survival horror is one of them.
anyways i'm sure if shinji mikami is on board the game will be awesome, now if they could just somehow get him to start directing resident evil games again...
@sinn i know its mikami's game but i think this definitely resembles SH a bit more just looking at the screenshots and even the bit about the world warping and distorting around the player
I dont get the hate on Besthesda, yeah their games are buggy some times but the elder scroll series is still stupidly popular and most of their games are always good fun.
Dishonored was also one of the best FPS games I have ever played so nothing wrong there.
To be dead honest the only reason I think I may skip is cause I am a wuss This looks freaking terrifying so yeah not sure I will play it hahaha.
i don't hate BETHESDA* per say(okay maybe a little)
its just what do they know about making survival horror games unless they've made some i don't know about?(if they have please correct me). them making a surival horror would be like letting EA make a jrpg or something.anyway BETHESDA* doesn't have much to do with development theyre just publishing, its Tango so i'm not worried( not mention Shinji knows what we want )
damn that 1st trailer did make the game look pretty scary though, but thats never stopped me from playing a game before and it sure as hell won't stop me from playing this one
The same way double Helix has never made a fighting game in their life but Max says the controls and fighting system in Ki are some of ones he has had most fun with?
I think people need to stop limiting studios to specific types, it's silly. If a studio wants to try something different go for it. Look how well kojima's MGS5 is translating to open world from the trailers.
But as you say it's just publishing so I honestly doubt they will do anything if thats all they are doing.
Either way this game's trailer just gives me the chills so staying the hell away from it
