This movie looks so much freaking fun! Can't wait!

Guardians of the Galaxy looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Just watched the trailer and it looks like it will be a very funny Sci-Fi/Comedy. I think that this will do well for Marvel and using Drax and Gamora they will tie into whichever film builds to a confrontation with Thanos. I get the feeling that maybe they are trying to do a final crossover between this film and the Avengers in Avengers 3/GotG 2. Kinda like what they would do in the comics every summer with the crossovers and events. Maybe GotG 2 will start the battle with Thanos and the Infinity Saga and they will finish it in Avengers 3. Sort of the way they are splitting books into 2/3 films now.

Confirmed sofar for phase3: Ant-man, thor3, Cap3 and rumors of black widow or black panther. Then again, all depends on how well Guardians of the galaxy does...

It has been confirmed the final villain the Avengers will face will be Thanos and they signed a deal for 5 Avengers movies. So we may only see him in number 5, or maybe earlier, if Disney can acquire the movie rights for Silver Surfer and Galactus from Fox.

Very true, I foresee that GotG will follow the Infinity Gauntlet story line as we already saw Benicio Del Toro as the Collector in the end credits of Thor 2.
My only concern about the movie, is that the GotG is not as well know to the non comic book reading public as Avengers and their solo movies.

Maybe they will introduce the GotG in the upcoming Captain America movie. I expect a few surprises in the new Cap movie to tie all the pieces together.

And a Doctor Strange movie...not sure in which universe he wil fit into - Disney or Fox.

If it goes to Fox, and they got the movie rights for Spiderman, Dr Strange, Ghost rider and Silver Surfer...will we see a Defenders movie?

Doc Strange is definitely with Marvel, not Fox. Spidey is at Sony, not Fox. GR's rights as well as the Punisher and Daredevil reverted to Marvel last year some time.

The Defenders will form out of the following Netflix series being DD, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist (I think the last one is also happening). Each character is getting their own mini series on Netflix and that will all lead into a Defenders mini series.

I'm digging it. Not sure if I'll see it on opening day, or even while it's on circuit, but it seems to maintain Marvel's standard.

I got a sneak suspicion that Iron Man will be making an appearance in this movie…
The reason I say so…All the GotG toys, from the Lego sets to the Heroclix sets include an Iron Man…

Word is Banner might get stuck the with Guardians of the galaxy crew after avengers 3 which will lead to a sort of crossover movie.

I...I... really like this idea if it's true!

Would be great, however, they focusing more on the Thanos story line and since Hulk is not getting a new movie, I am not sure about it.

With Ronan the Accuser, SWORD and Agent 13 – Sharon Carter, in the movie, I look more like they going with a Skree – Secret Wars story line.
