Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

Hey guys! We have bought in a whole bunch of the 365 day vouchers at the older price for you to use so don't stress too much They can be ordered here

But even at the new price that's only like R 70 monthly for free games and their online service, which if you think about it isn't really that much...

Thanks, Tea!

Definitely going to be buying another year or two this weekend at the lower price. The email from Sony last night was quite upsetting, but understandable considering how much you get with PS+.

Hey Tea,

I have 12 months left on my sub. If I buy now and only load this in Sept next year will the voucher still be valid?

it adds to your current subscription, so if you have 4 month left now and you load 12 you then have the 16 months on your profile apparently so you would have 24

PS+ is still really good value for money. So at the end of the day. No matter how much we complain it's not going to change.best is just to bed over and accept it

This really sucks...I can see a couple of things could come from this. The South African console market (with regards to PlayStation) can as IkariX stated "Just bend over and accept it", they can migrate completely to Xbox which is still cheaper (at the moment), or migrate to the American PSN which has a better selection of games, cheaper even if you don't have PS Plus, and it loads faster (The last point is just what I have personally experienced when compared to the SA PSN)...

How do you do that though? And what's the legality of it?

A US Account? You simply need to create a fake US profile, Google fake name generator, and then create an account. You won't have a credit card, but you can load up on vouchers. Legally it isn't a crime unless you use a fake or stolen credit card. But it violates the EULA so Sony can shut you down at any stage and you lose all your purchases etc. I've had one for 4 or so years with no issues so Sony doesn't really care as they are getting paid no matter what. They might care once these price increases cause big enough differentials that they start to lose in different territories, but for now they allow us to price arbitrage so make hay

All PSN members will be able to redeem their 10% PlayStation Store discount over the weekend, the offer is valid from 9am on the 23rd till 9am on the 26th January.

This is a 10% discount on your full cart not just on one item, so the more the buy the bigger the savings.

You cannot use this discount towards subscription services such as Playstation Plus.

Nice marketing by Sony in reality. Spend more and save more. You still spend all that cash though Don't get me wrong I will probably load up, have added things to the wishlist already, like most people, but this sort of deal does get you to spend more than you would've if the discount were limited.

I suppose if you can't control yourself then it's good for Sony. If I'm not going to play it why buy it. I'd rather buy it when I want to play it.

I will be getting Resident Evil HD from the US store, waiting for this to take effect, with the discount on the game I'll be able to get Millia and I-No color sets for Guilty Gear. No extra spending for me, but I do get a little bonus out of the savings.

As for the SA store nothing I want that I will play now anyway.
