@DEATHGIGAS
They have it listed here: https://nexushub.co.za/product/control-resonant-pid285827.html

Just keep in mind that the physical edition was delayed from Remedy's side, so releases like a month after digital.

Ironic thing. There is going to be an album for GTA6. And it will be available on both CD and Vinyl.

So clearly it's about control for Sony and Rockstar, not wanting you to own games. But you can own a CD and Vinyl. Both are crappy companies. I really want to see Sony crash and burn so hard. But the way Sony is going, it might be sooner, rather than later.

Sodas are poison, plain and simple. Diet sodas count as Diet poison.

I stopped drinking the stuff, and now I cannot believe I used to drink it. Tastes like syrup
Water, tea, juice FTW!

It's not as difficult as you may think. Eat right, drink right.
Try making a mix of 50% green tea with 50% juice (cranberry or some-such)
Keep it close and swig on that if you get the craves.
Don't think of it as a diet. Diets end. Just stop putting crap in your body

Scientists want to bring 22 animals back from extinction

LAST WEEKEND AT a TEDx conference in Washington DC sponsored by National Geographic, scientists met to discuss which animals should be brought back from extinction. They also discussed the how, why and ethics of doing so.

They called it ‘de-extinction‘.

A cover story for this month’s National Geographic explains how de-extinction rests on a relatively simple premise: it involves taking old DNA samples, reassembling them into a full genome which is then injected into embryonic cells which have had their own DNA taken out, and then finding a suitable living surrogate to give birth.

The Washington Post reports that ten years ago, a team of scientists from France and Spain almost brought back an extinct wild goat – but it only lived for 10 minutes. It raises a host of issues, including how scientists can get a good enough sample of DNA from the extinct animal – and whether or not they should.

There are a few guidelines for which ancient species are considered, and sadly, dinosaurs are so long dead they aren’t in the picture. Their DNA has long ago degraded, so researchers are fairly sure that Jurassic Park will never happen.

They chose the animals using the following criteria: Are the species desirable – do they hold an important ecological function or are they beloved by humans? Are the species practical choices – do we have access to tissue that could give us good quality DNA samples or germ cells to reproduce the species? And are they able to be reintroduced into the world – are the habitats in which they live available and do we know why they went extinct in the first place?

Even with the criteria, this still leaves plenty of other animals on the table. The list of candidates is actually pretty long, considering.

The cost of de-extinction varies by species but projects could run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not more. Then there’s also the cost of housing the animals once they are created, and re-introducing them into the world and protecting them from poachers once they are there.

But if you were the zoo that had that one woolly mammoth or saber-toothed cat, these costs might just be worth it.

There is also a slideshow of 22 of the 24 the animals that they discussed

So what do you all think? Science gone too far or not?

Latest from Seacom

http://www.seacom.mu/news/article-136/customers-on-seacom-s-egypt-to-europe-segment-are-now-restored-26-march-08-12-gmt/

SEACOM has completed the restoration of the majority of its customers on the SEACOM cable system link that was cut between Egypt and Europe. SEACOM customers that are using this SEACOM link should now see their services returning to normal.

There still remain a handful of customers that SEACOM is continuing to put up on alternative paths across the Mediterranean Sea this morning. It is estimated that these last customers will be up on restoration services very soon.

To implement this restoration, the SEACOM team had to identify, negotiate and sign contracts to establish multiple paths across the Mediterranean on cable systems that were unaffected by the recent cable cuts. Additionally, once these routing paths were chosen, cross connects at the Egypt and Marseille terminals had to be manually coupled by teams deployed at both sites.

“SEACOM activated a huge amount of manually-restored capacity on alternative paths in a short time frame. We have also managed to assist in restoring services on other East Africa cable systems that are also down due to the same cable cut incident on a different subsea cable in the Mediterranean. We did this as an act of good faith and to ensure that customers in Eastern Africa see services returning to normal as quickly as possible ” said Claes Segelberg, SEACOM’s CTO.

The SEACOM subsea cable cut in the Mediterranean is being investigated to understand the root cause of the outage. Ships are being sent to the area to bring up the cable and implement repairs. SEACOM will keep its customers updated on these activities, while ensuring that customers are up on the restoration path capacity until such time as all repairs to the cable have been completed.

I think every animal plays a part in nature and is vital in some respect to the ecosystem.

Mainly I don't see the point in resurrecting a species only for it to go extinct again. Let's face it, we're the major cause of extinction for plant and animal life now on this planet. And you can bet that any species we bring back we'll just drive back into extinction for a variety of reasons, like people wanting to hunt them for trophy's, etc. And then of course bringing them back only to put them into Zoo's??? Because throwing them back into a ecosystem that has evolved to survive without them really isn't going to work.

What's great about that?

@DG Very good points! Thinking along those same lines - surely, if they HAD to do this, they should be focusing on animals that not extinct yet, but are endangered due to man like condores and rhinos? The idea of those animals being forced to live in a zoo isn't appealing, but maybe in a reserve of some kind until a bigger enough population is built?

Or maybe we should stop looking for a way around the bigger problems which are poaching and pollution.
