@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

I love my 'lure enemies out into an ambush' tactic...I managed to kill an Ethereal with it before he could take over any of my men! Those things are TERRIFYING.

When does one actually finish the game...what do you actually have to do to finish it?

I'm restarting 2 new games tonight

1.) On classic
2.) On Classic - Ironman Mode

I've skipped out on so much in my 1st Classic game, I never caught an Alien alive nor built a Tank and many other things that I've done on my normal game, I didn't quiet understand the need to do these things, guess that's why my game is over But hey, I've never had a game where I'm so amped to restart a game lol!!!

The game does it to you, when I play on normal and realise what I've missed out on Classic, it makes me wanna restart immediately. On normal the game gives you a lot more to start with than Classic, so Classic will take a lot longer than Normal to complete, but the things I failed to do in Classic is what caused my downfall But Normal taught me a lot, so this time round I'll do a lot better

If it is anything like the original, you probably discover the alien homeworld, build a rocket and attack their main base..

I need to upgrade my friggin interceptors

I've decided to start over and focus on building a fully Psi-capable team.

Good idea, but your going to go through a lot of soldiers. Psi-chances seem about 1 in 10.

I know! I only managed to get two in my last game, and one died (my other was my Colonel ranked badass sniper and he got even MORE overpowered than before!), but hey, I can get up to 99 soldiers in my barracks, right?

Also, I sort of broke the game when I put 3 snipers on my team, all Colonel rank, all with Squad Sight, Double Tap, and equipped with Plasma Sniper Rifles...

Yeah, I completely broke the game at that point.

I would love to know how they are planning to expand the game...
More maps, random maps, new soldier classes...

^^ What would they put in as new classes? The four existing ones are pretty good on their own. New maps would be nice though.

Doesn't the Sniper class with Ghost Armour count as an assassin?

Revenge is sweet
I want to see some close quater weapons. Club with a nail in it. or something.
They could easily add a more interactive mini-game for shooting down the ufo's

Let's hope the game does as well as we think it should, opening the doors for sequals!
