@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

True, a good spread. I'll probably look to grab the Darksiders Collection as well in mid-July and The Evil Within in Sept.

Has Evil Within been delayed? Was supposed to be end Aug.
& cant find any listings for the Darksiders collection??
& dont forget Alien Isolation & Assassin's Creed Unity in Oct.

Just checked an it's actually also October for the Evil Within - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-05-27-the-evil-within-release-date-now-in-october. That's going to be an expensive month.

Deep Silver have released their own comparison video showing the enhancements to Metro 2033 and Last Light in the Metro Redux package. Of course they compare it to the last-gen consoles and not a high end PC, but it still looks to be an impressive upgrade to visuals as well as elements of level design and game mechanics -

And here's the analysis from Eurogamer's Digital Foundry section - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-vs-metro-redux

Looks like it's gonna be both an technically excellent remaster and 2 very good games combined at a great price (and the DLC for the 2nd game included which was generally excellent). Can't wait!

Does anybody perhaps know when the release date of Metro Redux will be?

I see it has a European release date of 29 August but I'm hearing that it will only be released in SA on 9 September. Anybody got any idea why?

Looking so forward to playing this.

4A games really are amazing. Considering all the crap going on it the Ukraine. They still keep going strong regardless of the issues in the company.

They also confirmed the PS4 version will be 1080P and a locked 60FPS. No variable framrate. Very impressive stuff.

Here's hoping for the 29th. Otherwise Tea, provide us with supplier details so we can start sending threatening emails in advance!

Another in depth look at the performance of Metro Redux on the new gen consoles - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-metro-redux-performance-analysis

Regardless of whether you're grabbing it on PS4 or waiting for the Xbox One release, it looks like an incredibly well done remaster for both consoles. Almost perfect 60FPS performance with much improved resolution and lighting.

Cant wait for this

Just undecided how to play the games as I heard there are two play styles namely: Spartan and Survival.

Ideally id like to experience each game the way they were meant to be played.

Did you play them before? If not, you are in for a treat. The best FPS since Half Life. Fact.

I second that - and I'd say beyond Half Life (having recently gone back to play them again on Steam). Atmosphere is unmatched, and like many Eastern European developers, the game design always feels refreshingly different (mostly in a good way).

Survival is meant to be more akin to the original Metro 2033 whereas Survival is meant to be the default Last Light experience. In an interview with the 4A PR guy, he mentioned the game's are not necessarily rebalanced, so Metro 2033 Spartan will feel very much like a modern shooter whereas Last Light Survival will likely be tough as nails.

There's also the ranger mode for both games which makes all bullets very lethal and all characters very brittle. It's intense but it can actually be easier than the standard "hard" difficulty as tough enemies and monsters fall to a clip or just an explosive or two.

On a side note: Any confirmation on when we're likely to get this? 29th Aug or 9th Sept???

The harbinger of bad news (Tea) confirmed it as 9th September.
