@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

LOL Angry Joe!

He said on twitter this morning that despite the 5$ hard mode fiasco the game is really really good. His review should be out soon.

Ja, that is annoying. "The way it's meant to be played" should never have been used for marketing. Still, the ranger mode was never relased for Metro 2033 of SA's XBLA so at least it's included this time.

Personally, I think its a good idea actually, this way they are saying thanks to the fans that are buying the Day One edition / Pre-order Limited edition and not the guys that are just waiting for it second hand.

but just so you guys know - the entire first batch of stock in SA will be the Limited Edition (that includes the Ranger mode) so try get yours in the first couple of weeks after release !bm

You can burn cobwebs with your lighter? Cool
As for the Ranger Mode, Deep Sliver blamed it on THQ!

@ Knight - Such a good game, I really recommend getting your hands on this. Some sections are as epic as Bioshock infinite's "wow" moments. About 6 hrs in and loving it!!

Wow, I remember a comment before release on Half Life 2 being one of the inspirations. Metro Last Light has it's own version of HL2's "Highway 17" level that's excellent.

So far the game really has improved and now sits up there with Metro 2033. I think the biggest weakness is the game starts with much human-on-human combat then only moves onto the horror/mutant elements a few hours in.

On hardcore the trips to the surface are insane, running from location to location scavenging for filters that only give you a minute of air each.

Haha, the much talked about lap dance. Not sure it's as forced as some reviewers make it out to be seeing as you have the choice to pay for it or walk away. I remember a [censored] in the original Metro 2033 so I don't see how a brothel is out of place in the game. Brace yourself for a pretty long and intense section on the surface coming up. So far it's as close as the game comes to the panic induced by the Library section in Metro 2033.

NOW this game is getting good
Venice is awesome!!!
I got wasted at the local bar! (have three drinks) & apparantlly caused a bar fight
Shot rats in a carnival type game! (do it three times & win a bear, find little boy looking for his lost teddy & give it to him)
Watched a strip show, got a lap dance! Which is NOT forced on you, as said in reviews!
On the surface now, long walk ahead fighting off all sorts of mutations! Winged demon took me for a ride! Then after all that, i was exploring & walked over a trip mine Love it

I dont know whats up with me & glitches lately! First Tomb Raider & now this!

Enemy Glitch.
On PS3, it happened in this same area as on the vid. Enemy AI just freezes up! I reloaded the check point three times, but same thing happened! & if you try sneak up & take them down. You preform the action, but the guy just stands there frozen in place & now you also cant move!! You can either just run through & complete the chapter & try reloading the chapter to fix it!

@KF500 - I almost wish that had happened to me on my playthrough as I died a ton of times trying to stealth it through that section before I got violent (and even then some). So far I've been glitch free except for the rare AI character looping around before the pathfinding kicked in.

@Lurch Most areas i stealth, but some times it goes pear shaped!
Cool achievements/trophies in this game! Like at the end of that section ^^ You can shot that guy holding her hostage or take off your mask, like he tells you to! But you only get the trophy if you take your mask off! & there is a ringing phone! DONT answer it & get a trophy!

Ha, it'll definitely warrant a replay then. The moral choices in Metro 2033 were far more binary. You'll be coming up to a really interesting section in which your actions will be directly judged as you play. Unlike the first game I really have no idea now which ending I'll get.

I fear I may get the violent one. Once I picked up the compact-looking sniper rifle (I think it was called a VSV in metro 2033?) my body count went through the roof. I think I've picked the right options during a few key moments so it will be interesting to see what carries the most weight at the end. Personally the Reds and Nazi's have it coming.

Got that trophy for killing a demon with the helsing!!
That helsing gun dies on you after a dozened or so shots, even though you still have plenty of ammo!
So i used the shot gun to weaken it & finished it off with the helsing, & got the trophy!! But then i saw it goes towards the bad ending! As it was a mother demon protecting is baby, which i also killed
So i reloaded the check point, still get the trophy but dont have to kill it this time
