LG wants to ban PS3 sales in the US
Electronics firm LG has filed a patent infringement suit against Sony

It's not the first time someone's done this sort of thing... Some guy called Gertrude Rothschild went to the ITC in 2008 and tried to ban imports of the PS3, amongst hundreds of other things, to the US because the laser in the blu-ray player infringed on his patents.

That headline is such BS! I wish people would READ before they get themselves into a little state of hysteria.

Bono backs Malema's "shoot the boer" song
But cautions that "It's about where and when you sing those songs. There's a rule for that kind of music".

Besides which, he didn't back it at all. He was talking about how there is a time and a place for protest music... Cheap thrills to grab readers. What pathetic journalism.

Agreed snow but no matter how you take a statement like that,

If you use the N word, as many people that arent offended by that there are equally as many people that are offended by it.

Same goes for a country which is clearly still struggling with race issues; and singing "shoot the boer" is as much hate speech as calling a political leader and their party cockroaches,

there is not a time and place for any of that,
Like Bono sings about sunday bloody sunday, yet he clearly neglects friday bloody friday.
I think its a silly statement by the guy.

I think when he said "time and place" he was referring to when they sang it back in the days of the apartheid struggle. If what he meant to say was put in that article, it never have caused such a stir. They were just trying to stir up controversy to grab readers' attention. I highly doubt a man of his stature, and all he's done for Africa etc, would purposefully say something like that. The drama is uncalled for.

Ya it's so overboard... Maybe there'd be less racial tension if people relaxed a bit? Lol

Steve Hofmeyr apparently dumped R 5000 worth of tickets in the Jukskei river, but admitted to a journalist that he didn't actually read the whole article... It's so ironic, since outside of music, Bono is best known for his activism and fund-raising for charity, yet Hofmeyr is known for his affairs and a charge of physical assault. I wonder who has the better set of morals...

Personally, I've got nothing against the song... It's just words. The thing I'm against is the fact that Malema or his followers just might not understand.

I also tend to agree with Snow in that the headline was badly chosen, and your average idiot (like Steve Hofmeyr) wouldn't actually read any further.

well i agree and dont agree..

first i agree with positive activism to the time relevant...
i dont agree when reconsilation and when its all over and done you cant use that save actavist approach that isnt relevant to rile up a crowd...

you cant sign about killing someone and maming there whole wat u call is ... origin thing ..such as the boers and shoot them down ... its offensive and not relevant to the times ..

imagine chinese ppl still sang kill the japanese and mame them for over hundreds of years of torture ... and yes i know they still dont like them but they dont sing such things to there face in that country

Crazy reactions are crazy.

We cant really pretend that slavery never happened but Flex put it in the right words: Its not relevant to the times.
Wich i agree with but taking a step back and just thinking about certain things before jumping to conclusion could save alot of us a[censored] house full of hardship

Now this is the stupid crap he does that makes all us afrikaans people look like idiots I'm STRONGLY against Malema and his stupid songs and would be the first in line to smack he's pansy ass if given the oppertunity, but Steve's actions towards an article that he didn't even read properly makes him no different to Malema...those 2 are probably best mates and doing all this for attention...DUMB ASSES!!!!

This whole black and white racial crap is also getting old now...people should get over themselves. If they don't want to live with each other or work with each other then MOVE OUT OF SA and leave it to us that wanna live here.

To be fair, when you read a headline thats connected/about or regarding Malema in anyway, a reaction like that is far from being fair but agreed... if he'd read it he would of had a strangly different reaction, maybe

Be it as it may, people should first read, then judge or give their opinion. Steve is a lot like Malema...he has a lot of blind followers that jump to anything he says and does and with his actions there are now 100's of afrikaans people saying "You see what Steve did, he's the MAN, he'll show them", yet they don't know what the hell is even going on, he actually embarassed most of us "Real" afrikaners with his idiocy...they should ban him from calling himself 100% Afrikaner, he does more damage than good these days...stupid idiot.

Ugh...
A small extract:

To say Topware has been suffering from bad PR lately is to put it lightly. A number of anonymous sources have accused the publisher of attempting to influence review scores by threatening to blacklist any outlet that gives Two Worlds II less than a 7/10.

If true, this paints a very grim picture of the company in an industry that already comes under fire for questionable PR practices. Topware has responded to, and denied, many of the accusations thrown its way, but there has been an increasing amount of these accusations from all corners of the business.

This isn't the first time I've personally heard Topware's name in association with shady behavior. Last night, however, we uncovered a list of allegations that would make even Eidos look like Jesus Christ.

http://www.themedguru.com/20091206/newsfeature/stare-[censored]-longer-life-study-86131320.html

according to Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist and author of the study, gawking at women’s breasts is a healthy practice, almost at par with an intense exercise regime, that prolongs the lifespan of a man by five years.

She added, "Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out."

A five-year research on 500 men
Researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany did an in-depth analysis of 200 healthy males over a period of five years. Half the volunteers were instructed to ogle at the breasts of women daily, while the rest were told to refrain from doing so.

At the close of the study, the researchers noted that the men who stared at the breasts of females on a regular basis exhibited lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and lesser episodes of coronary artery [a blood vessel that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart to the body.] disease.

Sexual desire linked to better blood circulation
The researchers declared that sexual desire gives rise to better blood circulation that signifies an overall improved health.

Weatherby explained the concept stating, "Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There's no question: Gazing at breasts makes men healthy.

"Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack in half. We believe that by doing so consistently, the average man can extend his life four to five years."

In addition, she also recommended that men over 40 should gaze at larger breasts daily for 10 minutes.

The German research is believed to be published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
