Ok, So I was at a
2k games event Tuesday, specifically catering to media for the
upcoming Bioshock Infinite release on the 26th March 2013 and I got a couple minutes hands on with this game. Guys you are in for a really incredible, impactive experience much like the first Bioshock.
There are many things about this game that I was completely unaware of mainly due to the fact i was not trying to spoil anything for myself - avoiding story trailers etc. but what struck me the most with my brief hands on, was the religious fervor the world and the characters of Columbia have for their leader of Columbia. His rigid belief system and the fear his religion imposes on the people and how that's used to control people, alter our perception or the people's morality.
Genetic modification, creating or being a god and the elevation in status religion brings the people of Columbia, making them feel that the rest of humanity is beneath them (literally in this case with the floating city

) makes for an intriguing outing packed with an incredible atmosphere and one that I think will be entirely unique.
Elizabeth, the "Lamb" of Columbia is likable, powerful and most importantly clueless about what she is and where she is. She is just as intrigued by the city as you are, having been locked in a tower her whole life with only books and gadgets as her companions. She doesnt hinder the play experience, but rather adds an entirely new play dynamic to Bioshock, with some of the best AI you could have as a gaming partner.
The journey you both go on through the floating city, discovering both their roles in the grand scheme of Columbia, including the mysterious Song bird creature, his bond to Elizabeth being both her protector and her captor is going make for some interesting conflict of interest for Booker, with his mission to free her and Elizabeth's bond to this creature, that she speaks to as if it were human.
If you hadn't considered this game yet, I recommend giving it a second look as you might miss out on one of the best FPS games, if not one of best gaming experiences this gen
